ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I reckon if people can let off flares under the watchful eyes of security and smuggle in bottles of hard spirits, a hot wired mega shouldnt be too hard.

Watchful??  Hardly...... people were chanting "*flare rippers name*, light your flare" for a good 5 minutes and they didn't pick up on it.  :p

People in the GGA have names.  Usually "f*ckface", "sellout", or "c*nt/TimmyV" - but still, they have names.  ;)

...except it makes no sense in Australia - councils aren't responsible for police, so council tax (i.e. rates) don't pay for their hats. Also, hats here aren't bobbies' hats.

not federally funded either, and there's no 'Federal Tax' either - you've got income tax for federal stuff, and the states are funded by commonwealth grants, payroll tax and various excises.

police are a state responsibility, so 'we paid for you to show up late, what a waste of commonwealth grants, payroll tax and various excises' doesn't really roll off the tongue.

Another on the "Don't sing" list then??

if you can work out a way it doesn't sound like we're copying direct from youtubes without thinking for even half a second, i'd join in.

Fire up the roflcoptor, that is downright hilarious.

There goes the hope of us ever getting the Bay to do a new chant ever again.  Guess that means no more "sha la la la la la la", right??

_Every_ football chant and song in the world is on YouTube, it's the reality of the situation.  To this day, we have (as far as I'm aware) NEVER created a truly original tune.  EVERY SONG AND CHANT WE DO is based on something that already exists - we seem to think it's special because we change two words..... except this time (council tax), we don't.  And you know what, it's funny as f*ck.  I don't give a rats arse whose tax actually pays for said hats, the IDEA behind the song is funny.  NOT TO MENTION, it uses a tune that thousands of other chants already do as well.

UH OH!!!!  :-\

that can be made directly applicable to us. change the words.

with the hats song, nobody bothered to change the words in spite of the fact that it's f**king stupid.

And I used to think I was the 'serious' one...... honestly mate, lighten up.  It's a funny song, and it's gonna be around for a while yet.  Either embrace it or stand there and sulk.

"We love you Mariners we do is" out as well - Grimsby and Yokohama already do that one.

"Mariners clap clap clap" is gone - Seattle, Grimsby, and Yokohama have trademarked that f*cker.

we used to get shalala going back in season 2. seems to have died out.

back then (and even season 3 - the aloisi song took off like nobody's business, and even the present yellow submarine thing took off in seaosn 3) the bay generally speaking was much more prone to giving stuff a go.

heracles doesn't require jumping, but it does require a tune. somehow we do neither.

you may no longer be 'the serious one' but you're doing a good line in 'applying ignorance to support an otherwise baseless argument'.

those songs are obviously directly applicable to us. singing about 'council tax' and funny hats on cops is not. you're comparing apples and washing machines.
