ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. No admission of fault, where it went wrong, who is to blame, how it was pissed away, how to prevent it from occurring again, whether it's possible to recoup wasted funds, or guarantees of player remuneration. Instead it takes credit for our success in producing socceroos.

I see this quite differently. I think the lower ceiling hurt the Mariners this year. It made 'bigger' clubs scale down and into 'our' market of playing younger players. This stung because all of a sudden the cream of the crop didn't need to go to Adelaide or us. With a higher ceiling, those 'bigger' clubs will go after a more known/higher commodity player. Hopefully this will have the effect of us being a more realistic place for great young players to come if they want playing time. Interested in what other think.
Stopping themselves from wasting money.
To be fair to CFG they spend it on the best Aussie youths.

CCM didn't have a seat before so not sure what changes.
Nothing does for us. Just more competition to play youth so will have to go back to polishing gems

I'm not at all knowledgeable about the academy so can you provide some examples of what Peil did to gut the academy? Lucas Vilela is still in charge there right and has been for a few years now correct?
