Its contemporary so i liked the thought of that song being our anthem, but i think the anthem has been set for some.

Yellow requires too much musicality for a bunch of pissed football supporters to master. Also there are too many words and to quote FFC they are a wanky pop band.

I believe there is a place for the song though... but not as our anthem. I like the images of past feats that have been put to this music and gets played in the Kendall from time to time. I also believe that it can be played over the PA when people are filing into BT. But thats the extent of it.

We have finally decided on an anthem (so it seems) so lets master it, own it and cherish it. If any of us are standing in a pub in some God-forsaken country and Elvis comes on in the background, then any true Mariners supporter will be identified by the proud and respectful singing of the song with the King.
