3rd trial match - 3rd win. won 4:1 against Erzgebirge Aue yesterday.

btw. we achieved a new record regarding our season tickets. we sold a total of 28k season tickets, so just a bit more than 12k tickets will be on sale for each home match (the tickets for the away fans are excluded)

I guess that virtually guarantees every home match sold out?

Don't believe that any home match will be sold out, but most of them. However, if we do well in the competition it might be that every match will be attented by more than 40k people...

Wow, that is brilliant - 28000 season tickets! Ha ha our Bluetongue Stadium doesn't even hold that capacity (max. would be no more than 20K).

I am curious about the cost of these season tickets. I presume they are graded for the type of seats and the better seats costs more.

you're right. the price of a season ticket depends on the seat/place you have.

- the standing area in the Nordkurve (lower stand) is 124, approx. AUD 217
- a reserved seat in the Nordkurve and the Sdkurve (lower and upper stand) is 195, approx. AUD 342
- a reserved seat on the main stand is either 699 (AUD 1228) or 515 (AUD 905), depends if you want to sit in the upper or lower stand
- a reserved seat on the other stand (right across from the main stand) is either 409 (AUD 718) or 309 (AUD 543); also denpending on where you want to sit
- family area (1 adult , 1 child) is 226 (AUD 397), each additional child is 49 (AUD 86)

all prices are for adults, there are discounts for students, children, members
all season tickets are valid for 17 home matches and include public transport to and from the stadium :)

Thank you for the ticketing info Happy. Given that Football is probably the major sport in Germany, those prices seem OK. Does the club offer a payment scheme rather than having to pay all upfront?

(Obviously, if the club can attract 28000 season tickets they must be doing something right!)

Also....... how did you get the little Euro symbol typed in? :headbutt:

Actually, the season tickets in Nrnberg are very cheap compared to the other Bundesliga clubs. We make the money on the several match days where we have different prices for nearly each opponent.

We have to pay the whole amount all upfront....but this isn't a real problem as the prices don't change that much from season to season; so you know how much to save during the season :)

Well, the symbol is on our German keyboard (press Alt Gr and E at the same time). Don't know how this works on a different one

The last and probably most important trial match takes place tomorrow at the stadium in Nrnberg. We are playing Glasgow Rangers. The match is part of the official season opening party.

This means that the off-season is over next week with the Cup match against Dresden.

Well, the last trial match is played. Lost 2:0 to Glasgow Rangers. Can't say anything about the match as I didn't watch it. Just know that Dario Vidosic has played in the 2nd half.

Just 2 days to go till the first important match.
our squad seems to be complete at this point of time.

Dominik Reinhardt, right wing, moved to Augsburg (Bundesliga 2) on a loan basis. we signed a young Norwegian player who is on loan from Arsenal. he is a defender.

Do you guys need a striker? We still want Charisteas to leave but no one wants to sign him

can't afford charisteas, matty simon is better (and cheaper), so no problem at our end. you coul always just leave his oxcart by the side of the autobahn with a big bag of oats and a sign saying 'free donkey to good any home'

1. Happy Belated Birthday wishes for the other day, Happy!

2. No you cannot have Matt Simon (either for your club OR as a Birthday gift!)

3. How do the fans react to the up one year and down the next situations that happen? You must tear your hair out when you realise the losses mean one step closer to going down again.

1. Thank you very much :)

2. :(

3. Well, we're used to it. one of our nicknames is "lift-club" (literally translated). we are the only club in Germany that got relegated after winning the German championship (relegation 1969) and the German Cup (relegation 2008).of course, it is sad everytime when have to go down to Bundesliga 2 but normally we are back after just 1 year.
Anyway, we are the club that got relaegated and thus promoted the most times in Germany. Back in 1997 we even played in the 3rd league...

Actually, the majority of the fans had the hope that we establish ourselves in Bundesliga 1 after the Cup win but due to the coach and a bad atmosphere in the team it didn't work out how everyone thought.
I personally think that the way we are going now with a lot of young players is the right one. But I am not sure if it is enough just to have young players, some older ones would be good as well.
