True.Langerak is absolutely miles ahead of Gauci and Thomas. Bad reflection on Arnie tbh.
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Not saying Langarek is better than Maty......but i'm saying he is a shit load better than Gauci and Thomas. At 35 years of age and having hardly played for the Socceroos I'm happy to move on. Let's face it the Japanese - where he has played the most have never been the best strikers. Yes he is a good keeper but has never shown that at a high level for the Socceroos or in Europe.
Maty is the best we have and will stay there until someone better comes along. Sorry- but that is not Langerak. He is good reflex shot stopper and can command his area in Japan but was never great against talker opponents.
One thing to point out is that Australia has been playing every day time slot. Others haven’t had to do that. That may make it harder. There have been a few articles on how hard the Asian Cup is this time round (eg, Japan losing; S Korea drawing to lesser rated teams)... and that therefore the Socceroos are doing better than some of us judges suggest. Winning while keeping clean sheets is very good etc etc All teams improving etc etc
I don't buy that. As far as I'm concerned we're toothless and not doing the basics well - like passing, moving, drawing defenders before passing to open space etc. The players look like they don't know each other.
If you can't do that then, yes... the Asian Cup will be difficult indeed.
I think it was in reference to the Socceroos (it is the Socceroos thread after all ?) but it's interesting how there are similarities. At least within that lack of cohesion there are good chances going begging.
The RHS will take a hit with stormy and tulio out. That combo was so good. Ball to storm in the air for a nice header for tulio to run with.
FortunatelyNiz and Angel seem to be building something. Just need to keep Niz at 10 all game.
f**k I just realised when I opened your reply..deleted.I think it was in reference to the Socceroos (it is the Socceroos thread after all ?) but it's interesting how there are similarities.
Both play in yellow (I know, I know - it's Australian gold my friend), both desperately need a goalscorer (a proper one - a 15+ goal a season assassin not just someone who scores every now and then) and both create lots of opportunities but the last pass/cross or lack of cohesion lets it down.
