ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Give Nik another go

My point exactly. We want to get rid of "her" cos she is not up to standed , but there is no call to sack all the "him's".

I think you will find there is. Gotta love PC freaks and the shit they dribble!

If that AR was a male, I would have used "Him". That AR was a female, hence "Her"

This is fairly basic English and if it denotes sexism to you, you are the one with the problem.

Its people who think like you who actually add to the problems of discrimination.

I said she ought to be punted because she was crap, not because she is female. Neither did I imply that she was crap because she was female - those are the definistions of sexism.

You are being a pratt because you are a pratt, not because of your gender or ethnicity. Happy now

The female ARs *do* seem to be mentioned more than others.

A number of posts seem to imply they're only there for some affirmative action reason or simply that women shouldn't be there. Officials across the board get bagged, but a bloke doesn't get bagged for being a bloke.

There was one just the other day:

The AR on the side opp the cameras was an absolute disgrace. She was at least 1m behind the play and thats why she f**ked up a lot of offsides.

Wouldnt flag for shirt pulling 2 feet in front of her.

Equal opp is a good thing but if they arent good enough - dont bother

Directly implies that she's shit because she's a woman and that the only reason she's there is affirmative action.

I read it that she was hired based on sex rather than talent, she's shit because she's shit, and only holding a job due to affirmative action...

From what I can gather (by googling her name and seeing what comes up) she's been on the NYL ARs panel and has made the step up, just like the blokes do. She's a FIFA badged AR too. Doesn't seem to me that she's there by any equal opportunity policy.

I'm not saying she didn't screw up (a pair of offside decisions come most clearly to mind...), but neither her being there nor screwing up had anything to do with her gender.

Fair point... but does google tell you if there are other eligible candidates up for the same position, that happen to be male and of the same or better ability?

i'm sorry I am with FFCMariner & Adz...
she makes far too many mistakes!
I wouldnt be suprised if there was an affirmative action policy...which whilst having the most noble of intentions can be worse off
(It actually may make more foolish people stereotype females as being bad referees)

NB: Despite being foolish I dont stereotype females as bad refs ;) (I am  against stereotypes for no apparent reason :p )

Settle down i see your point but i still think your being sexist. Sure you didn't say she is shit because of sex, i don't think you were implying that. I think that she makes as many mistakes as the blokes that are refs, but her mistakes are remembered because she is female.

Lol at your i add to discrimination problem remark. How ?

lol also at your prat remark as well. You do realise that a prat is a vag, which means your using sex as an insult against me ?
