ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. Don't bet against him. He is still relatively untried at that level and even though these are friendlies I can see him coming in November for the two qualifiers against Palestine and Maldives/Bangladesh. I would also like Garang to come in.
Arnold never showed any desire to leverage Cummings strengths. If the plan was to have him forced into the Duke template it was a bad plan from the outset. I think we'll miss him when we hit games where hard running plan A isnt enough.
Borello is probably the closet to a Duke type player. If we have a similar setup as we had against Mexico then Jason would take the Metcalfe role behind Duke
I agree, but I dont think there's room for Cummings and him on the pitch at the same time. Arnold showed us against Ecuador who he prefers and was the final nail for his NT aspirations imo.
That was March where Duke and Borello played as lone strikers in the 2 games. We played a different system against Mexico in June with Metcalfe playing behind Duke.
Yeah he is living it up, every chance he gets his is out of India. Wasn't long ago he was in Thailand for a week or so partying.
He's a real talent. Albeit a very weak England side but he will do well
