ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
I'm about half hour in and he never felt far off being on screen or at least providing a voice over. A rough watch at least early and certainly no Sunderland til I die or Welcome to Wrexham.I didn't dislike the whole feature, but I certainly felt it was a missed opportunity and is ultimately mostly forgettable.
Yep, given Dickies placement on the poster, you’d think he’d run the joint since day one …arrogant fkn wankCan't unsee it now, kind of ruined.
Also the poster, what the f**k 🤣
Not quite - David is far more likeableHaving not watched it (yet) I am assuming it is like a football version of The Office, with RP playing David Brent?
You lot are a hard bunch to satisfy. The Peil hate is pretty full on so I guess a lot of sour grapes on here when he spent millions then decided not to continue. I’ve met him a few times and thought he was a pretty honest person and clearly a good businessman and I feel his investment did some good for the club. Perhaps without that investment we don’t get the same results.
I liked the doco, perfect no but I feel it’s impossible to produce something everyone likes. Let’s look at all the comments every season on the kit and merch, some people will never be satisfied. If it’s not the colour it’s something else.
It’s a permanent record of our clubs success over two Fantastic seasons which may never be repeated by the club.
I liked the Pod and Ian talking about the office representation in the doco. That I pay attention to not other comments from people that have never worked there. If you don’t have a valid comment maybe keep it to yourself. If you did work in the office please advise when making your personal attacks on people so you have some cred and not just look like joining the bandwagon sledging everyone that worked at the club over two very successful seasons.
Rant over. Enjoy.
Maybe the wine and train strike has pushed me over the edge.
You've got to admit it had a bit of a Rich's vanity project vibe about it. For something that was condensing 2 hugely successful seasons into 2 hours he got too much screen time and focus. Maybe if it was 6 x 1 hour episodes it would have been less of a complaint but there must have been so much unused footage and stories untold. I would have liked to see more emphasis on the community and footage from times we've seen the crowd get really involved.I liked the doco, perfect no but I feel it’s impossible to produce something everyone likes.

It’s more people were getting very nasty towards others in the club when I assume they didn’t know them or haven’t worked in the office. I don’t dispute it has a Peil vibe but I guess he considers he has paid for the right tell his story.. fair point ... but i think the vanity thing is the big, valid, criticism. more so because of the timing of his departure - it changes the context
. we want more football and more of the story because it is our story too, not just Rich's
The only ones aside from Rich that I felt didnt come across ok was Rich's advisor and Alyssar. That scene where Shaun announced his retirement and there was barely a dry eye in the room did her no favors. And how some things were phrased despite knowing they are being filmed raised an eyebrow. It’s more people were getting very nasty towards others in the club

. i kinda saw it as the opposite ... practically all the shit has been poured on Rich (i consider him and his advisor as the one person in this regard). the only real exception has been Alyssar - which is an interesting one
. from memory there were maybe two instances where she expressed her displeasure with the office or office staff ... and i would guess that most people have taken offence because they liked the familiar faces but have no real knowledge of how they actually performed in the office
. i'm not going to try to argue that one way or another, because other than some very minor volunteering i have spent practically no time working in the office. what i will say is that we have always been understaffed and most of the staff have learnt on the job ... as interns ... learning from those that were interns before them. most of them are so busy putting out fires, they don't have time to do their job - which seemed to be her criticism
