I'm not just talking minor modifications. The council want to develop the Bowling club site. Property developers like the Rose Group, together with Singo and Denny could join with Mike to develop that site for units and provide a proper northern stand with corporate facilities a social club for both game days and away days plus a much needed roof.

Yes - I've seen that but the Bowling Club site was never on the table. The Corporate kitchen was to be in the heightened western stand and a later render had a tower in the south west corner with a 'Chairmans Dining Room' at the top that would be used as a top end restaurant the rest of the time.

This is in many ways is more modest - at least in terms of the stadium. The expensive upgrade in capacity of the western stand would not go ahead (which would have provide shade to the eastern stand). A new corporate kitchen would move to the northern stand.

There would be no new screens, no yellow seats except maybe on the yellow army end. The new change rooms have been delivered and the retail and café precinct could be included in the Bowling club site redevelopment.

The Council would get their way with the development of the Bowling Club site, the Mariners could get much needed match day revenue and Venues NSW would get an updated Stadium that would be more attractive to hire the rest of the time.

I will see if I can dig out the actual proposal. I believe it included north redevelopment, not just a roof. That was contentious because the Leagues Club own (or owned) it

I think that's correct plus the original planning approval guaranteed the bowling club plus water views from the townhouses behind it.

To be honest very disappointing not to have more on the players and there achievements. That’s the doco i want. Not the Peil promo. Takes the gloss off what was achieved.

Id much rather hear about edmo’s feelings scoring the goals and Jacko boys note letter than Peils hand picked white anters. Maybe they are right and change is needed but i just don’t need to hear it.

When Shaun left and only a handful of the old
Guard cared you could see they had achieved there objective

Best part was Peil standing back saying during the trophy presentation "this isn't about me, you boys just enjoy, I'm gonna sit back and stay out of the way".... Proceeds to make a f**king documentary about it showing exactly that moment

Also thought it was pretty poor form the most our women's team got mentioned was Peil complaining about how much they cost. I get finances are important but that could've been left out. They made it all the way to a semi-final in their first season back and they got what 30 seconds of coverage? That sucks.

The more l think about it, the more l think this doco was a missed opportunity.

There was so much more that could and should have been done with this production and for me personally, it was just too superficial.

In my humble opinion, the All Access episodes from last season were more engaging and enjoyable than this docco.

Hopefully, someone will be able to go through the unused material and put out an extended, deeper offering like a director’s edition.

That is something I would happily pay for.

I at last watched the second hour of this documentary. I watched the first hour when it first came out.
Says a lot.
It could have been so much better.

However there was much left unsaid and a hell of a lot to read between the lines.

The big one I took was that Sean left voluntarily .......... after it was suggested that it would probably be better for him and his family if he moved on now that the suits moved in.
I do not know whether it was justified from a management point of view, but I do know that a big important part of the Club was amputated.
And I am not sure that it was for the better.

With an owner with Money the new group are what you want. No soul but sell sponsorships for record dollars.

If you are running off an oily rag and need someone to do everything and put their heart n soul in you had your man and you probably need him again in 6 months when flashy suits are to expensive and leave

I think they should release all of it on youtube or something and we can watch the whole thing rather than a puff piece on our ex chairman.

All Access was better - the few scant minutes given to the GF was brilliant and deserved a full episode

Not even sure how good they are at that. They have had some wins but also seem.to have alienated quite a few sponsors as well and we have the embarrassment of playing in Asia with a blank space on the front of the shirt

Rich came in when he had nothing to lose, he was ambitious and spoke a big game but realistically if he failed no one would have blamed him. He then left when he had everything to lose, the success was there and there was nowhere to go but down and he backed down from the challenge.

If you plan to throw your toys out of the pram you should not gut the clubs administration before you do it. Thats where any lasting damage will come from
