ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

ok.. just a heads up guys. my group sit in the away bay for most of the games except scum and fc only due to the high numbers that they bring with them and the avalibility of seating.
there are between 10 and 20 of us usually which isnt much but we give the away fans alot of crap with our chants and they give it back just as bad like last weeks game with Roar 5 coppers watched us all game and we got threatened to leave but all was good (we are use to it)and we had a few beers with those boys at the leauges after. which is fun.
apparently you marinators arnt taken that seriously as a "firm" or hard core supporters as they put it. so even though we dont sit with u guys we all follow the same team so id love to see your mob fire up and Intimidate away teams.

Come on boys semis are close lets fire up

yer you guys looked good

I noticed you guys last weekend. It's the first time I've noticed you tbh but I must admit that I thought you were pretty gutsy doing what you did. And yes, I also noticed the interested police milling around at the top of the stairs.

It all looked harmless enough... I thought at the time that it was a good move to distract the active Roar support as they were focused on you rather than the game. Quite funny actually. However, I can see potential for trouble and that's the last thing we need at our games.

As for talk about "firms"... it's been said before... "You're 'avin' a larf"

yeh were not there for trouble guys, we just love our football just like u marinators :) the only trouble we had was when the night the fight broke out between us and the squadren outside the leauges club and that was only coz those guys lost like usual and wanted trouble.
as i said havnt met u guys but im sure our small but loud group and u guys could make "bluetounge" a ground away teams hate coming to and our boys love playing hearing us chant..

What a crock of shit. You were gonna get run by the scum outside CCLC and if it hadnt been for a Scum capo and me helping to keep you apart until a few bored coppers walked over, you would have been v successful in creating exactly the sort of incident that would have kept the media happy for days.

You say you arent out for trouble but you make a point of getting in the face of away support?

I think you have just met the definition of exactly the kind of support CCM dont want and I confidently predict your wanna be "I watch hoolie vids" little group will get clamped down on by security sooner rather than later.

You wouldnt know a football hooligan if one jumped out and bit you.

Well I thought .. that's bloody stupid.

That is the reason the club moved the away fans in the first place. What ever your motives you just invite security and police attention. If it was mariners fans in an away bay we'd be asking for you to be moved.  Keep a bay free in-between at least.

Given that the marinators I know do not want to, or try to be, 'a firm' or 'hard core' in the sense that you used it ... who gives a flying f**k what the away fans think.

this sounds great on the broadcast as well as at the game, but when did it shed its tune?

shhh this means we're doing something original  ;)

You guys must be imagining things.

Didn't you know swimming-carnival chants are the only ones that work and therefore we must stick to them?

These kinds of posts only encourage people to start other new "football-style" chants that  never work ... or haven't you been reading the forum?  :p

make sure you remember communism doesn't work

why don't you shove it up your supply side? :p

Free market capitalism ftw.  China has embraced it - it's your turn Dibo.

;D

China still have a very high level of state ownership, so its not such a free market yet.  Deng Xiaoping, who is credited with waking the sleeping giant in the 1980's, calls it 'Socialism with Chinese characteristics'

Back on topic now..Would it be wrong to suggest we stop trying to create and come up with new chants, and just get people to actually sing first?? thats probably been said a million times..But at the Boxing Day game for example a chant didnt last more then 90 seconds before dying, and half the time there was multiple chants going. As much as the 'Mariners *clap clap clap* is seemingly not liked by quite a few, people actually get involved.

Perhaps these types of chants could be used to get the crowd going, then start to bring out the new material when people have found their singing voices??

As i've said, this has probably been said already in this thread, but I just thought it was worth bringing up

I reckon for the first leg of the finals we should all chant 'ARE YOU WATCHING NEWCASTLE?'

Why?
It's not like were playing them next week or something.
