ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

When it comes to dodgy owners, FFC have a long and distinguished record.

Ernie Clay and David Bulstrode are the 2 thieving asset strippers that come to mind (long may they both rot).

Clay refused to fund the permanent signing of a loanee when we were on the verge of promotion as he believed it would make the ground to hard to sell for redevelopment, then sold out to Bulstrode (another developer) who tried to engineer the infamous "Fulham Park Rangers" merger.

Con has a lot more work to do before he can aspire to such heady heights - but he is trying

Peter Johnson was awful at Everton.

Sunderland were brought into an awful mess by Tom Cowie- whose appointment of Lawrie McMenemy brought about the ruination of the club.

Jesus Gil and Manuel Ruiz de Lopera belong on that list too.

I think that's the fella. Their new stadium's named after him. Holds some staggering number of people (for that division) and they only get a tiny fraction of that on average (and I think because of traffic and whatnot they're only allowed a little more than the average, guaranteeing it sits there and sucks funds... The club went into administration recently too.

Who was the Darlington chairman who was actually convicted of trying to set fire to the main stand?

Reynolds?

Was Ken Richardson, who was given a 4-year jail sentence for the whole scheme.

George Reynolds at Darlington was a lunatic- and left them with a bigger stadium than the club ever needed!

Load of bollocks

See

Timmy, you ready for your balcony protest any time soon - this clown wont be happy till he's killed your club

Correction - It's not Timmy's Club, it's Con's play thing. I thought it was abundantly clear that the term community-based Club in Newcastle died with the Breakers.

The bandwaggoners will come and go long after the owners come and go.

Sheer joy at beating the scum :)
Ignorant person here ... does Con own the club outright? or does he answer to a board?

If Con ever were to sell, how many willing buyers would there be? The club definitely has potential, and I'm sure the FFA have been of the mentality that they never wanted Con to get the licence but had little choice at the time.

The FFA would takeover the club if Con decides to leave until a suitable owner or partnership can be found. I dont think we have heard the last of the GVE saga as Con will fight the FFA for damages and might kick his heals in if not compensated. Even though i hate the scum we need them in this league as it creates such a local derby and great passion and feeling between both clubs. I love the fact we have two local rivals and 6 derby games every season.
