ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

can someone explain how newcastle can sell A Griffiths when he has a contract with GCU? I understand he has a little time to run on his newcastle contract but i would have thought that wouldn't be worth much (especially after his display on the weekend)

sounds like they can't, which is why adam's not going anywhere.

adam's also blamed the club for spreading lies, while earlier stories suggested he'd called GCU personally to seek a release from the contract and was told he couldn't go.

Will the jest 4 remaining contracted players be getting a run in the last three youth games to stay match fit for the ACL?  ;D

The PR tactic they employ seems to be

1) Feed utter lies to N Herald

2) Those trusting innocents in the squadron believe it and get excited

3) Another outlet refutes lies in Herald

4) To cover up, feed another lie to Herald

Repeat

Well simple until his contract expires at Newcastle he is an employee of the Newcastle Jets Football Club and they can do whatever they want with him.

But if they do sell him he must seek permission of his new employer Gold Coast United Football Club to be released from his contract.

"Boxhead" Cullina to be appointed Football Director at Jets.

"Meanwhile, it is believed former Sydney FC coach Branko Culina is set to return to the A-League as the football director of the Jets"

Shouldnt they be signing players? or is this a player/coaching role?

i think this is called 'buying insurance'.

GVE is sure to bail at some point, most likely when sydney sack their next manager, so they've got boxhead in the wings waiting and ready.

GVE can't be happy about this either - he's already got issues with con interfering, now he's going to have culina as well.

So to summarise:

Nikolai Topor-Stanley (so-called defender)
Donny de Groot (striker)
Sasho Petrovski (striker)
Angelo Costanzo (central defender)
Ljubo Milicevic (central defender)

And Branko Culina as the clubs new Technical Director to replace Ian Crook.

What Gary van Egmond builds ... Con will destroy!

theyve actually done a pretty good job of recruiting in a pretty short space of time, some quality there but definately aging and prone to breaking down...

When you look at the players they have lost and then see their replacements, they have a squad going backwards at 100mph

Who will give them a run for their money in their quest to win their 2nd spoon?
