ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Scum in turmoil

You know the way it works, Mick. Unless North was certain he was heading OS, he wouldn't have said anything to piss off Con. Suspect a deal just needs the signature of the player, and the contract is in the mail.

:goodpost: +10000000000 points for you  :D

no point slagging a supporter group that owned us in the grand final
they had more supporters...worst 'home' game ever! FFA stuffed that one up!

How?

CCM fans had 2-3 days more to buy tickets then newy fans OR maybe its the fact that there aint much CCM fans who could be bothered to go 1 hr down the F3 for probally the biggest game ever for their club?

Also in that game the mariners fans i believe were in awe of the tifo

maybe its the fact that Newcastle is bigger than Central Coast...not to mention the number of families that are on coast...I didnt get home until 9pm- not very family friendly for others!
not happy! we lost one of our biggest 'rights'!

We lost the tifo, won the banners, and even on crowd numbers! Get over it!

Take a tip from another older guy Kareem. Get over it.

We played the GF in Sydney. We played against Newcastle. The squadron put on a better show than the Marinators on the day. Newcastle beat the Mariners.

These are all facts. Get used to them being brought up by their supporters. They are proud of what they did, just as we are proud of what the Mariners have achieved over 3 seasons.

Arguing over crowd size, and noise etc. is just a pissing game.

As for the alleged 'rights', we barely had a claim if you realise that the FFA put on the GF, not us, and our club was very compliant to the request from the FFA, and did sweet bugger all in getting folks to the match.

Consider yourself blessed Kareem, you've been jumped on by TWO grumpy old men!

But is there any worth in going over old ground? As you said, this was discussed and anguished over a month or so ago. Any need to rehash that? There comes a time when we all have to move on. Doesn't mean we won't forget what happened  -but it does need to be put into the context of the whole 3 seasons of HAL.

No, Always listen to your elders they know best. They never make mistakes and are always shining examples of how to behave.  :p

Get Used to it, I hear you lose your right to opinions after marriage.  ;)

I have made PLENTY of mistakes and have behaved very poorly over the years.

Without going into the nitty gritty, I'm the last person one should listen to.

But it won't stop me from trying to express my views.

Neither should Kareem, but he should be made aware of the consequences of expressing views (ie, when you do have something important - to you - to say, no one will listen).

Has anyone else noticed that the start of Total Football still has the images of the Victory collecting the Toilet seat and the audio saying "Melbourne Victory, Champions of Australia"? I have a chuckle to myself every Thursday night. I think it's symptomatic of the current state of the Jets. They are an absolute shambles at the moment and I suspect that more than one big-wig at Fox is ashamed / embarrassed to recognise them as Champions.  :)

Correction: The Jests won a made for pay tv post season cup comp. The champions are CCM FC

Only in a sports market like Australia would we have to put up with such a farce.

I'm not going to watch when they change it! But yea, it's interesting I'm sure they changed to Melbourne rather quickly after they won the GF.

Ex-Jet Jardel Admits Drug Use

NEWCASTLE Jets flop Mario Jardel has admitted to drug use during his career and is no example to youngsters...but he still wants to play.

Super Mario gave an interview in his native Brazil over the weekend, pouring out his heart and claiming that the most beautiful thing in the world is to recognise ones mistakes.

The striker who failed to find either fitness or the net for Gary van Egmonds men last season is now looking for a fresh challenge with a new club.

He was once one of world footballs top strikers and crashed in more than 160 goals for FC Porto in the nineties.

A move to Turkish giants Galatasary followed before he returned for a second, less successful spell in Portugal.

Jardel was released from Sporting before the 2003/4 season and has had spells at eight different clubs, most recently the Jets.

He told Globoesports: It all started with bad friendships. Then came my divorce, depression and drugs.

Today, I want to start over. I am training, but I am no example to any child.

Don't do what I did, because it's no example, I am starting over and acknowledging my mistakes, I want to win from now on.

I only consumed one drug, cocaine, but not while I was playing: I only took it during vacations.

I am seeking a new club to reignite my career, because I have the quality and the potential.

My biggest dream is to return to the fields with a big team.

When I went to some smaller teams, how could I score if there were no players that could put the ball in my feet? It all got worse and the problems snowballed.

I will only play again if it is for a big team, like Grmio or Vasco da Gama. I would like to return to one of these two clubs and prove that I can do it.

the funny thing is he says he still wants to play for a big club. since i think he'd have trouble getting a run for central coast lightning reserves id rule Vasco da Gama and Gremio out.

He says he only uses Cocaine. He must have used cannabis as well because he has had his fair share of the munchies by the look of it
