Rangers played well in the first half and looked like a thrashing was on the cards. Second half came and this being Rangers sixth game in ten days caught up with them and most of the players looked very tired. The commentator mentioned that Queen of the South had taken a holiday prior to the game going to Majorca or somewhere similar. He said the headlines in the scottish papers prior to the game was burned out vs sunburned.

Good party atmosphere at the ground. Even had a one minute clapping tribute to Tommy Burns with the Rangers fans taking part and showing respect.

The best part of the last few months was the value for money i got from setanta. brilliant. Now to make the phone call and pull the pin on it until next season.

Dundee United are prepared to take legal action against Scottish Football Association president George Peat if the ruling body prosecute the club's manager, Craig Levein, for his comments about Mike McCurry's refereeing in a 3-1 defeat by Rangers at Ibrox earlier this month.

Scottish fans' forum
Levein said McCurry had deliberately failed to award his side a penalty or order off Rangers defender David Weir and disallowed a legitimate Dundee United goal because he lacked the courage to do so in such an important match for the home side.

McCurry later confessed to his errors on the SFA's official website but, in an interview with a Sunday newspaper, Peat said: "The general purposes committee will review the case and decide if Craig should be up before them.

"We don't tell them what to do but in my eyes using a word like that [cheating] is criminal."

United made an official complaint about McCurry's display and now claim that Peat's comments have prejudiced any investigation.

A statement from the club read: "In our opinion, his comments will undoubtedly influence the committee's view on this matter and are highly prejudicial in the extreme. Dundee United see this as a massive breach of procedure on the part of the SFA.

"The use of the word 'criminal' by the SFA president in yesterday's newspaper has meant, unfortunately, that we, as a club, will now have to seek legal advice on this matter."

Motherwell have announced that manager Mark McGhee has opted to remain at Fir Park despite interest from Hearts. The Edinburgh club made an official approach to Motherwell on Friday.

Looks like this isn,t going to go away in a hurry.Interesting that the ref is allowed to admit his mistakes........I thought they were gagged and not allowed to speak about decisions?  ??? I know they used to be.
Can you imagine Shields coming out and saying I f**ked up in the Grand Final sorry boys!

Eire are a bit like Scotland. No easy games.Able to upset the bigger teams but just as likely to f**k up against the smaller nations i.e beating France in Paris then losing to Georgia!!  ???

Hehe...sorry Arabmariner, had a cheeky-wee-b@strad moment that I couldn't resist. Don't worry, I haven't joined up with the Alliance Of Dodgers Of Soap, so you're not on your own!

Good news re:Barca. Can only be a good thing for the lads to be playing against those guys, even if it is just a friendly.

I'm sure these games will do Barca every bit of good for next season as it did to help them this year. Hell of an achievment for them to beat D Utd and Hibs. I bet Messi is counting down the days already  :p
