Doesn't have the cattle 🤷🏻‍♂️Do you guys remember when he would tinker with the Formation according to his opponent? What happened to the tactical fluidity?
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

He got very very lucky. He was completely gone on 3 or 4 of their near misses. Did well a couple of times too.DPC has had a solid game. Made important stops when needed.
Well, we had more shots on target however they were all directly at Sail for the most part, we got lucky that his blunder gifted us a point.Just goes to show what can happen if we shoot. Needs to be much more of it.
What's so tough about giving the young lad any credit mate? 18 years old, first season as a starting keeper in professional football replacing a club legend and his performances have been more than passable. Is a good shot stopper, reads the game decently well, getting better with his distribution and his all round game will only get better. Back him in, he's our starting keeper and deserves the support. He got very very lucky. He was completely gone on 3 or 4 of their near misses. Did well a couple of times too.
Mauragis and Piz were both poor but at least they tried to play forward which was something. Piz will improve but Mauragis as a middy is a no no.Think back to preseason and ACL games. We were too vulnerable to mistakes and counter attacks in the ACL games and early a-league.
(Not that much has changed)
Then he tried the back 5 (in defence) and it stabilised some draws especially after Tapp got injured.
And he decided to settle on it after doing a half here and there at Adelaide maybe? And got worse by changing it to back 4 however it is all circumstantial as if you are chasing the game the game opens up and you are more vulnerable anyway.
Mauragis and Piz however definitely did have lots of added value tonight and are 2 of the 3 pieces to the puzzle to try and get us back to a different tactical or formation standpoint.
Actually 2 out of 4 pieces to the puzzle as need Tapp back but more importantly an inform striker that Eames and Piz can feed.
With this formation it continually leaves the middle of the pitch wide open when Eames/Steele/Alfie are on the back foot. If we are playing for this presumed width the wide players need to cross a bloody ball. Then we lose it and no one is in the middle. It's mind blowing that we are persisting with it. If Jacko thought we did better 2nd half I have no idea. Perth had so many chances to bury that game after halftime. As others mentioned Faisal and Theo simply needed flipping.Well, we had more shots on target however they were all directly at Sail for the most part, we got lucky that his blunder gifted us a point.
The real issue is maintaining possession and generating avenues to progress up the pitch without the boys confusing purple jerseys as our own players.... WAY too many misplaced passes tonight if you ask me...
We've just got to make sure that they don't reinjure themselves, even though they've been cleared medically to play, reoccurring injuries are a real worry sadly. However, I do agree they did add much needed value tonight but sadly I think it will take a few actual games before they will be back to their full potential. But again, I don't want to see them reinjure themselves (especially with other teams knowing they're fresh back from injury, potentially making them a target)Mauragis and Piz however definitely did have lots of added value tonight and are 2 of the 3 pieces to the puzzle to try and get us back to a different tactical or formation standpoint.

I cant wait to complement him Josh but he is a huge problem at the moment and its stupid to ignore it.What's so tough about giving the young lad any credit mate? 18 years old, first season as a starting keeper in professional football replacing a club legend and his performances have been more than passable. Missed the point entirely, surprise surprise their goal is a Wales assist. Certain folk bagged him out here saying he was no great loss and glad we didn't sign him and he doesn’t score goals. My view was he's very strong at assists (which we need) and lo and behold our cheapness to not sign him has cost us 2 points tonight as he provides the assist to Taggart. Can you tell me the number by which he increased his goal scoring tally tonight?
I obviously didnt have my Yellow tinted glasses on tonight so i will bid everyone good night and allow someone else to post something positive.
If we can't even afford Wales we're not gonna get Dingo back. It'll sting if he ends up at another Aleague side.Apparently cumdog was at the game but jacko says we can’t afford him![]()
