ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Our Beloved Monty

im just pointing out the fact as someone pointed out there could be reasons for monty wanting to express interest we are going to lose him at some point whether its now or at the end of season either way im ready for the fact he will likely be overseas within the next 12 months
There's an article now saying that Monty has contacted Hibs about the role, however the article also says there's been no contact with Arnold which is bullshit because Arnold himself said he was contacted about the role. ?
Your definitely right that Monty will be gone sooner rather than later. He's doing amazingly well for a new coach under the constraints we have. I just don't think it's in his best interests to leave this now and definitely not to a side he'll win nothing with. Better off going to the lower leagues in England when he does go.

If hibs have asked for fee price it will most likely be out of there price based on that rubbish article if it isn't bull which sounds like it is they want him cheaply

Some weak sources here, but reads as if Hibs have approached CCM for a fee figure
Well their source is "according to the daily mail" so they've just elaborated on someone else's speculation and sensationalized it. The Scottish Sun, probably as full of shite as the English Sun.

Not wanting to dox anyone, Monty is keen and there are negotiations going on. CCM have started looking at "2 or 3" options for a replacement IF Monty is successful including the return of a certain club legend

Serge part of the package? What about Vibe guy Bernal?
Please also say that Wilkshire isnt on the radar to come in either.

But surely if we wish it wasn't true it isn't?!

Seems cash is king for Richy Rich. Losing Monty now would set us back badly for this coming season, not to mention the players that have signed would be expecting to be coached by him.

You make a good point there. Players are coming to us to be developed by Monty and Serg.. not to play for the Mariners. Would be hard not to feel screwed.

The next appointment when monty decides to go overseas is absolutely going to be critical and crucial we can't afford to make the same mistakes that we did after arnie left the coach has to be the right fit for the community
Can't do the flag then 10 years of shit again. Esp when I just splashed on the gold logo jersey

I know a guy who was assistant under Cahn for a while. Ben empowers players to think, to be able to make split second decisions correctly. He develops players.

Honestly I can't think of a better successor to Monty with what we do
Top 4 finish for a team that has well underperformed for a decade. Parallels...?
