Which you can do if you’re an established professional with a solid goal scoring record to fall back on. Bolt didn’t have the skills or the fitness but he should have been able to at least work on the latter pretty quickly.

100% This. Tasteless football, only looks good because there are some stunningly shit coaches in the league. I’ll be very disappointed if it’s him, just grabbing the least mid coach from a very mid pool. As my 2yr old would say, noooooooo way.

He has played some decent football in previous seasons but last season was not pretty nor effective for the nix. As I said in a previous comment if he's on the list that issue needs some serious questions and candid answers.

Surprised by the Talay hate on here, he had the Nix performing very well and blooded youth and sold them OS, he has also scouted some very decent visa players. Last year they or him decided his time at the Nix was coming to an end so the team didn’t play as well. With no internal knowledge none of us are equiped to pass judgement. I recall an interview where he said after a number of years in NZ he wanted to live back in Australia.

We all love Monty but I do recall Talay giving him a few football lessons and they were one of our bogey teams. His results at the Nix would be up there with some of their best.

We could do a lot worst. I’ll worry about it when we finally appoint someone. If he is on the list I feel he deserves to be there.

If the club did get a host of CVs from here and O/S the way to get to the shortlist is to compare all of them to those three to start with. If they are not demonstrably better then they shouldn't be on the shortlist - that includes Wilkshire, Zadkovic, Okon, Mulvey and Patty plus I suspect quite a few others. Who knows though - there may be a gem in the pile.
