Firstly, absolute credit to the Coastie Boys (or is that Boyz?). Sang for 90 minutes in the rain. Top effort and very sad to see that not one player made the effort to thank them. No excuse for that whatsoever and it is the players responsibility to build rapport with the fans not the other way around.

Perth are a very good side, in slippery conditions they held the ball well and probably could consider themselves unlucky to only win 1-0 really.

Goal was down Lewis's side, they play him at LB and then Perth put a tall player against him and win all the knockdowns. He isnt a defender and continuing to try will destroy him IMHO.

After going 1 down he swapped over with (? number 3) and we suddenly looked more solid and he was able to play his natural game.

Doig seemed to get through the 60 mins ok, Huke was good at RB till he got hurt.

We created v little really and the thing that struck me the most is what does Sherlock have to do to get a run in the seniors?

It would've been heavy going in the wet conditions so it seems like Doig will be lining up against the Fury if his substitution was non-injury related (which I assume it was).

Huke... any info on his status? Redid on old injury or is it a new one? Also serverity... any idea?

Couldnt tell, I assume it was an injury replacement as Fitzgerald came back on for him.

He fell heavily a couple of times and looked quite shaky as he got up Both knees strapped, maybe a precaution (hopefully)

Agreed, vocal and passionate. Puts himself about a bit too which is nice to see

BTW, Trifiro (14) ran the midfield for them. A loss for us I think

Perth must be a decent side.
Any OA made the trip from Perth?

They are. Only OA was the goal-scorer Adrija Jukic, and he's only just over-age. They looked a lot sharper, more focussed, and direct. We fiddle-faddled around so much and never really looked like scoring.

A disjointed game by the yoof. A couple of their stars were not switched on and a lapse by lewis resulted in  a corker of a goal by a very good young player in Jukic, he harrassed lewis until warmsley swapped him with kalouris who had a fine game.
At this stage lewis needs to work on sliding defense but this goal game from a silly kick that jukic picked and planted it in from near the side line.
The interesting thing of the game was watching Doig go about his job. A very dominate individual and reads the game so well.
He was telling the boys where to pass where to run how to turn and got pissed off when they took the wrong options.
I hate to say this but this is the second game at home against Perth that our ex (Trifino) has controlled the mid field. mmmm what did they not like about him?

Kwasie was kwasie and missed a few including a one on one where he first touched it 20 mts into the keeper.

Doig rules. Bring him back and we will win games. Next season we need another player like him at RB or LB, without the injuries.
