ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Best performance of the season, but nothing to show for it. Lacked that clinical edge in the final third. Not much big Dyl could do for the goal in fairness - absolute bomb and it was always fading away from him.

Agreed. We had them pinned in their own half for a big chunk of that game. The Marconi defence was exceptional and allowed only one shot on target.

Love the Rose Jnr cameos late on in games.

Jimmy Bayliss’ assessment was pretty much the same. Said we had them pinned in and they couldn’t play through us.
Great to catch up with both the Bayliss boys, and I did suggest to Agent Lachlan that he could now return home after forcing the OG in the Jets’ game against Wellington and helping us win the premiership. Great to catch up with Windy as well who came straight over for a hug and a chat post game. Love that these guys don’t forget their roots.

Final 3rd still needs a lot of work but defensively was best performance and midfield did well too.

Rose belongs that’s for sure.

Niokohra shouldn’t be in the starting team. Lots of opportunities and he has something but hasn’t produced much and the roar boy and Rose have given much more.

Shame to concede the goal because they didn’t threaten much at all.

Not sure how they are 2nd

Marconi have been hit and miss for the last couple of seasons tbh. Shipped 4 against Olympic, then put 4 past Apia and 9(!!) past Rockdale, before scrapping a draw against Sutherland. When they’re on, they’re well and truly on. In fairness, shows the improvement in our boys too. Marconi absolutely smacked us in preseason.

Almost missed kickoff for this one due to some old duffer doing a 15-point turn whilst parking his Suzuki in the car park.

Honestly some people eh? :piralaugh:

Andre Parkes and Ethan De Bono have both left the academy during the transfer window to join Macarthur Academy. De Bono’s departure was a bit of a strange one for me, as he was just starting to break through to first grade. Had bagged 10 goals in 17 starts in the 20s.

Matej Busek has also linked up with Marconi after being released.

Maksim Kasalovic played the full 90’ for APIA’s u20s yesterday to get some match fitness. Would expect to see him play some part against us down at lambert on Wednesday.

I had high hopes for Parkes given he had been involved for the Joeys previously but the whole defence seemed very shaky first half of the season, not just down to him obviously but seems to have solidified somewhat in the last month or so.

Peraic-Cullen with a deserved call up.

“We’ve made several considerations when selecting this squad, including allowing players who travelled to South America in June a chance to rest before they join A-League pre-season at their respective clubs, and most importantly, the opportunity for this group players to gain experience and perform for their country, something they have earned."

Doesn't seem like Brandtman or Di Pizio dropped from the squad, more using this tournament to develop a larger pool of players for the upcoming U-20's qualifiers in September

Last I’d been told is that NSD clubs will also be expected to compete in the NPL.

This from Football Vic. Sounds like NSD teams will disappear from NPL and their NPL side will come in a level lower.

Dan Birrell from Football Victoria had just recently appeared on Suited & Booted TV podcast mentions National Second Division at 1:21:01 into podcast also about promotion and relegation right across the state heading into latter half of the season.
