ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Im looking forward to the youth games played at home and see how theymanage the standard. The Mariners youth developement program is attracting scores of kids and some of these ankle biters have good skills for their age. The program is rapidly spilling out into northern/ north west sydney where there is a bigger pool of people willing to fork out for their kids.
A long term question I have is can Football in Sydney/ Coast support two COE (tuggerah and riverstone)? And if the answer is no where do mariners with their smaller population fit in?

Bloody hell. No fricking Marley songs for us then...
That is depressing.
Wish we could pull a Melbourne and make an offer too good to refuse for a genuine KNOWN up and coming talent like David Williams at Fury o some such.

Looking forward to watching the Yoof kick lumps out of GCU on saturday now ;D

FNSW has some ridiculous number like 200,000 registered players. i'd be more inclined to ask if 2 COEs was enough. our COE simply means that we'll get a bigger share than we would be entitled to by our catchment of 15,000 alone.

the fact that these two will be two of only three (including the AIS) in the country means that really they will be honeypots for talented youngsters all over the country.

are the other a league clubs starting their own systems?
Yoof teams Panni Nikas played well in Premier League final and got a tap in in the 93 min. Busy player who held his own against bigger players.

'Strewth, that didn't take long. Did they backdate his 6 week contract, or do we have to pay him out?

A feast of footy this Saturday.
First up my grandson plays age 13 prelim final at Pluim, straight from there to BT for the yoof and then the big boys.
Not bad for a bloke who wouldn't be seen dead watching "soccer" three years ago. No matter what ppl say about the Mariners' style of play and the rest of that kind of bowel articulation, they've converted me!
Right now, if I was offered a free ticket to see my beloved Collingwood (a supporter for 50 years) or one to see my newly beloved Mariners (a supporter for three years) I'd really have to think hard about which one to accept.

(MODS: Sorry if this is off-topic. Please put it where you will, or delete it if you see fit.)
