ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I've heard around the traps that CCMs youth team is put together much better than last year so far. Will be interesting to see.

could not be much worse

+1. The NYL games I saw last season were not a good advertisement for any youth policy the Mariners may have - Centre of Football Excellence or not!

Seems they are least giving some thought to who wears the NYL jerseys this season.

It wasn't a complete disaster last year though, inspite of a rubbish start there were some good signs towards the end there though. I definitely agree that this season needs to be much better. 2 new teams in as well with GCU & AIS joining the fray will make it interesting.

Hey. I have a mate (19 yrs) from uni here from Qatar . He wanted to know how to get in contact with Mariners. He has a decent playing resume (was selected for Qatar u16s national side) a creative, dynamic player and plays attacking mid or (left) wing . I suppose his first step would be to try and organise a trial with youth team. Just he has no idea on how do that. He doesn't know much the football system around here.
I heard there ws application forms for youth side last season?
Has the youth team been finalised?
He was also wondering about feeder clubs? I suppose Lightning is sort of a feeder club, but wasn't that pre-youth league? Back when we scouted Simon, Porter etc. from there?
Lately it's been youth league eg. Lewis!
Thanks guys. Post or PM with any help i you don't mind. Perhaps someone from the club reads this, or someone on here has connections?

The mariners get a shit load of e-mails from a shit load of wannabe players. Best bet would be to join lightning and if hes good enough he will make it.

He would be better calling the Mariners and saying he is on the next flight to Sydney to come and trial. If he pays for it all i am sure the gaffer will check him out.

Exactly. If this guy wants to make it he has to risk a few things to get there. EG Matt Simon. Even Wee Mac had to trial and moved from one end of the world to the other to get work. Look at him now. One of the best players in the league and a NZ international.

The guy lives in Niagra Park. Luckily he is on the coast, and prioritising mariners due to where he is studying (ourimbah). I have not recieved any reply for 2 days from info@ccmariners.com.au- I understand  they may have a massive backlog in emails. But I think they are just ignoring me for reasons stated by Disco above (every1 wants to try out).
Hmmm, perhaps I should give the mariners offices a call. "This kid is the best player I have seen since a young ??? Matty Simone :p "

I do like the sound of me being a scout ;) :p
