ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Still a while to go in the A-League window - doesn’t slam shut until 12 Feb.
And in fairness, it’s not for want of trying (well, from CCM’s side anyway… not so sure about Spurs!)
I will accept if this does not age well, but I am going to read that as 'we still have a chance/time'!

Probably more that the players we wanted got more lucrative offers. Unless something has changed behind the scenes we're looking for locals that can fill attacking roles and those are in short supply even on contract.
The players we have gone after aren't going to play in a GF winning side. We are being outbid on journeymen (Wales, Burgess).
Neither of whom get further than the bench in the last 2 seasons.
While we have no money this will continue

and to go to basket case scenario like Perth is not likely to a better career move...so the difference in money must be substantial enough
For Wales that might be an emotional decision as well. I think we punted him at one stage didn't we? Or at least didn't offer him.

I thought Wales was offered one year but wanted and we were in that period where it was one year deals for most players? Two years gives a bit more security (to the extent there is any security’ in pro football)…
