ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I did wonder if MJ had considered subbing Paull for him.
With Faz out on the weekend do we see Paull to LB or perhaps a formation shift to a back 3? A formation change may allow us to get more out of the players we have available and fresh. I'm not expecting a lot out of the trip to Melbourne anyway but the last thing we need to do is injure someone already fatigued. From memory Theo is out too so maybe an opportunity for Wilson and/or DWH to get a run depending how things are shuffled. Need to be smart now not just sticking with freezing players out.

Does MJ field a 2nd xi against Melbourne or is the game just too damn important to give away?
It is going to be a tough ask for all involved.
I am very worried about tired players getting injured.
Faz gets a rest. I would be resting Torres as he doesn't look fully over the injury.

This week and jets the following is a chance to rotate a bit (maybe more heavily skewed towards jets).

With tapp back maybe it's a chance to give niz and max half each for a couple of games to freshen up.

Across the top end we have been rotating a fair bit with Kuol, Jing, edmo, Theo, brandtman, Ronald, Migz all getting minutes. Might be a chance for a few to get a bit more in the legs to sharpen up but everyone should be fairly fresh.

I have the same concerns. Thursday night in India then Sunday at home? Is that even permitted with lengthy travel time?
It's our home game so there may be potential to move it though City wont want to do us any favours. If it wasnt for some of Leckie, Tillio and JMac probably being selected for the roos the obvious answer would be move to the weekend of the 23rd which is an international break.

Also a bit worried about the bulls going out there to hurt us on the game between the Odisha final. Dont strike me as being gracious losers of late.

The following weekend is the international break so there’s no games that weekend so they might as well move it to then.
I can't see City agreeing to it due to players missing. Even if they weren't City are battling to make the 6 and will smell blood. Might get it back to Monday or Tuesday though.

We are representing Aus in a regional comp, the APL has to make these decisions fairly for everyone. Perhaps I'm in dream land.
I agree, at some point we need to say how do we facilitate the best result for our coefficient as a country. A league teams don't carry big enough squads to be able to send the B team. That said I expect self interest to rule, maybe if City were still in it we would have more of a shot.

I think they'll play as best a team as they can - Kuol might get the start, Torres rested, Faz out, and then sub guys strategically rather than field a lesser team from the start. Plenty of guys only played part of a game so while they won't be fresh legs, they should at least have a bit in them.

It's a hard balance but we're now on the cup run we all knew we were capable of and I think this needs to be the priority over the league.

I'd love to win both, don't get me wrong. But who knows when we'll get another shot at Asia, lets go for it and put the absolute best 11 out for the games.

OR we beat Odisha by 7 at home then we can send a lighter squad overseas
