ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hmmm, I could say I told you so about Doka and Barcelos, but it would seem too much like smugness, so I won't.

All I will say is please stop bagging out players until they have had a fair go to adjust and acclimatise.

You may also look for their good points which are sometimes harder to see than a glaring mistake.

It is much friendlier.

I remember not to long ago when all we wished for were players who would bust a gut for the Club. I do not like seeing players who do this getting hammered here.

Great to see them contribute tonight. Pure enthusiasm and belief.

Disagree. Keep bagging them, so they come good!
System seems to be working. :)

Well the boys did go to Hell and back but of course we had an Angel so it was destined for us to win but it was a heart stopping match.

Germain was a prick at the end but what a good player.Nisbet is unbelievably good and he "towered "over Davila in the battle of the midfield generals.Balard also was tremendous and is very underrated by other teams and fans.Danny had to make some great saves which kept us in the match.

What a smorgasboard of attacking talents we have-Torres,Barcellos,Edmondson,Kuol,Doka ( yes he has come good),Brandtman,di Pizio and Theoharous with Nisbet pulling the strings.

BTW our club has benefited from Latin American players-Perez( unfortunately for too brief a time),Urena,Tulio,Torres,Doka and Barcellos.Lately we have picked up Torres and Barcellos via Portuguese clubs so hopefully we can use this connection as people move on.

Now for Odisha with Cy Goddard and Krishna.

watching Edmo at pitch level, he makes the strangest runs for #9, he runs wide leaving their CB's to play as sweepers
He isn't a technical player and his lack of 1st touch does let him down on occasion.
I think he is struggling to settle in a new country, new comp. Not used to pitches being so fast?

I think we also need to stop considering Doka as a full back or even a potential winger. IMO he’s your classic right midfielder of a 442 of years goneby. Won’t go past many in one on ones but good enough for link play and can deliver handy early crosses and obviously can hit a shot.
I think he actually beats more players than most realise. Sometimes he tries to push through and loses the ball but we have plenty of others that do the same. feel he is starting to settle in Aus now and could be a very handy player/squaddie next season. He has been a good back up for Storm and it was only the other week he was almost MOM.

Similar to what Noah did with Faz a couple years ago before he got injured and disappeared

I wonder if the club is thinking of an away trip to India like Bali. Those in the know, do you think there is a possibility? I have a burning desire building up to want to go to this away leg against Odisha.

I agree, especially Barcellos, was sitting close to the sideline of the eastern side for his first game. His foot speed in close contact and his dips and false runs make him a nightmare to mark. Further once he understands what support there is around him and how to use it he will be very dangerous.
