ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The first goal he actually was stagnant as usual then actually moved backwards to get his head onto it.
Was it a good goal, yes.
Watch it again. He actually makes a run across the defender from 18 yard to 6 yard box when Alfie gets the ball from Sasha (1:22 on the a league highlighs).

Because he turns out and rolls off to storm, alou holds his ground. He reaches back and takes 2 half steps backwards into the defender to position for the jump.

Yes it was a standing jump, but he wasn't stagnant like most other times.

In my opinion Steele has been poor to start the year. Yesterday he seemed to be playing higher up the pitch with Alfie playing a deeper role. He looked better for it and I felt he had his best game for us since his recovery from injury. You can never fault the effort he puts in. His execution was better yesterday.
Agree with this. Much better game from him.

After watching the tv replay I have nothing more to add to my previous post good to see many players putting in their best performances of the season and showing improvement.

Kuol's definitely m.o.m. His performance was hopefully a promise of things to come, he has taken a little time to find that form. Maybe the rearrangement of wingers and striking partner has made a difference, maybe he and the tea are finally clicking. Keep it going.
Great point deserving performances by Storm, Theo, and Doka.

Harper may be a good pundit but as a commentator he talks a lot of crap.

Full credit to Alou. 2 very well taken headers, if he continues with a level of consistency then a guy like me won’t have much to hate on. Jokes aside, he wasn’t showing that level of movement in the box or desire to get on the end of crosses at all so far this season. He was rewarded for doing so yesterday and his off the ball movement throughout the match was genuinely good. Touches in build still need a lot of work but he can score semi regularly, I don’t care about his touch. Listening to Jacko post match, sounds like he’s been putting a huge amount of work into Alou to improve him, not just giving up (like I would’ve done long ago if I was his manager).

I thought Theo was very good, looks very trim. Paull had probably his best match for us to date. DPC with some big saves, Doka was back to his best too, I thought he was huge in the 10, I think we need to stick with that.

That was a Mariners performance consistent with the past 2 seasons.
Every player put his heart and soul into that game and win lose or draw we (as fans) should be proud of the effort they made.

It`s no surprise that having Theo back in the side really helped Mauragis.
The two of them were absolutely outstanding in closing down Costa and Lolley when they switched a few times in the first half.
I`m also surprised no-one has mention how Theo nutmegged Ryan Grant twice in 20mins in the first half and also had a great battle with Costa....
