ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Sunday 8 Dec 6pm k.o.

Looking on Ticketek there seems to be not many bays available for tix for this game already.....was hoping to bring a mate into the gold section i sit in but almost the whole upper tier 35 - 42 is greyed out.

I find it hard to believe only the dark blue sections are available....

We will get smashed in this game. I’m braced in the crash position.
Sydney will want revenge too, this week could be one of the worst for the club in 20 years, just months after it's best month ever. I'm scared. We'll probably be outnumbered in the stands again too. I better go rewatch the Ted Lasso series before Sunday to find some misplaced belief.

It will be interesting to see the starting lineup and the formation that Jacko puts out. Will it be the usual starters or will he ring big changes?

Unlike what Jacko said I did not see the Newcastle game as a turning point in our season. I saw a good battle between to of the lower teams this season.
The team that plays SFC on Sunday is not last year's champions as the media keeps calling. It is a team with some of those who played in last year's champion team.

I am not feeling confident of a result. I am hoping for a good display, in a good game, with signs of improvements in individual players and the team as a whole.
I hope that if we get thumped that we do not receive too many cards to players lashing out in frustration.
If we do get a win then it could truly be a turning point and worthy of much celebration.

I still see this season as a rebuild from a fairly low base and am not looking too much for results, although results will be a sign we are heading in the right direction. I looking for development of a squad that can be competitive in games while developing into serious contenders for a load of silverware in the next two seasons.

Really looking forward to the game clashes with SFC are rarely boring.

On the basis of what we've seen (both them and us) this year it's not easy to be confident. I do remain confident in Jacko though and that whatever happens will be just part of the plan.

Concussion protocol?
Is it just me or does he look like someone smacked him in the face with a shovel?

Sorry I should have said specifically on the pitch with the possibility of two heavy defeats at home and being completely outclassed in both games.
Try as I might to forget them I can still remember quite a few bad weeks on the pitch over the last 20 years and none of them involved a quality J-League side.
There are plenty to choose from under either Walmsley, Sully, Mulvey or the pod's favourite Paolo.
This week is not one filled with despair. A couple of losses is a setback. In the past it was quite often business as usual.

Absolutely, it won't get that bad and the club is in a far better position collectively overall than those years. Jacko is a brilliant tactician and this week won't reflect this campaign as a whole come end of the season.
