ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The Socceroos thread.

Very ballsy move by Arnie but this must have been the plan if it went to a pen shoot out.
The stones on him knowing that if he used the wiggles routine and it failed it would seriously hurt his reputation, redmaynes and the country. But withholding those subs for so long says he wasn’t going for the win in ET which is a shame. Mooy was buggered at 60 mins and Peru didn’t target him like they should have. Jmac invisible as expected for the record. If only we had a good alternative to send him…

One thing Redmayne is good at........its saving penalties. Very smart move by Arnie.
Just been looking at some penalty save stats on Transfrmarkt and in normal play, Redmayne's stats are not that good really - around 13% saved compared to Maty's 22%.

Still a fairly smart move though - I think in the pressure of a penalty shootout (and with players who might not frequently take penalties), the clown antics might have more of an impact in getting into the penalty takers head than in normal play.

As Arnie said post-game as well, just subbing your keeper like that could get into the opposition penalty takers heads by inferring that the bloke coming on is a penalty save specialist, ramps up that pressure another notch.

Cumdingo and Alou K on the plane surely
This is Arnie we are talking about. He has a 28 man squad out there at the moment, they are talking about a 26 man squad for the finals this time (usually 23). The only ones that will be picked outside of the current squad are Souttar and Rogic

it's a one trick pony. but now , wont surprise anyone again .
indeed i thought it took him out of position to save the 2nd penalty .

i believe peru didn't take us serious and lost because of that more than anything .

Sure was. Just read article saying they have been planning it for weeks and nobody including Mat knew. That’s why he’s been picked for the friendly and the sudden death.

He said Mat was awesome and said it’s your time when coming off and was pumping him up before the pens.
