Not so much in the Oxford Dictionary which is the eminent source for word definition, and the bastion for English language conservatism. It is usually the last to change and when it does, it means that definition is well and truly ensconced in the English language.

The English language does change over time but I doubt the definition for both sex and gender has changed that much in the Oxford dictionary.

Besides, what is your point? Are you disputing the current Oxford Dictionary definition of gender? If so, what are your credentials in the English language?
