ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Don't jinx us mate!

We're going to dominate our last two games and win everything through to the Grand final.

Shaun Evans and Kurt Ams will both present the silverware to our team with a "pants down" - walk of shame around CCMFC stadium while a packed house throws red and yellow cards at them. :D
I'd rather they run a gauntlet of fans all wielding sticks dipped in dogshit.

Perth have helped our home final prospects with the win last night because it means WU's game against AU is still a "live" game for WU with the opportunity for them to move into 2nd or even 1st, pending the MC v Nix game on Tuesday.

If MC had won last night and MV beaten bling on Sat., WU would have needed to beat AU by at least 4 (potentially more depending on the margin in MV vs Sydney) so there would have been the realistic possibility of WU taking the percentages and resting key players v AU to have them fit for finals wk 1.

On the downside though, it does keep alive what I think are the two worst case scenarios for wk 1 being City away (possible if we lose on Saturday) or Nix away (possible if we draw on Saturday)

I thought that we can only finish 4th or 5th now? So will be Adelaide either home or away.

Nix can still get to 42 if they beat wanderers tonight and city on monday. 40 if they go 1W 1D which would mean we need a draw on the weekend to beat them on GD. If they lose either they cant get past us unless there's something like a 28 goal difference swing which is... unlikely.

True, didn’t realise they had 2 matches left.

True, other than Miller but I think the club has instilled a good mentality that when you join the Mariners you are much more likely to get a shot and that we will make contact and help you progress overseas without holding back like other clubs.

And at 18/19/20 years old, why would you not take a shot at playing in Belgium, Sweden, etc if you get the chance.

True and we have to accept journey men and offer things to young players that other clubs don't because we haven't had the finances to compete. I'm really hoping the announcement at the game this weekend changes that.
Yeah, me too!

Sadly, they will look to other clubs like us, to poach a team for next season though.
They had it easy when we were a basket case, we are not that anymore and offer serious exposure to young players. It will be harder for others to poach our players after the last two seasons I feel. Look when Lewis did the deal, we were serious spoon contenders. He jumped the gun and may regret it.
