Visa thing afaik. They were only prepared to contract if he had citizenship before the season and he would only find out if that happened a week or two from season kick off. The younger guy that went over and is killing it was a bigger failure from them. Deemed too injury prone

A record loss at home to the Drive Byes has just turned up the heat on the already thin ice he was on. They just don’t have the talent with experience coming through the ranks. King was horrendous and should never be in a Socceroos camp again which probably will not happen with the young talent coming through now. Grant is just too old now and is a liability. Throwing on the young players with 8 mins to go shows he had no idea how to counter their enthusiasm. They were gone at half time and he made one change. Clueless. Would have been good to see other than seeing O’Rudan look so happy with himself.

the other thing I noticed is just how fit MR has that team, its not quite
Hiddink level, but its heading that way, by the by, Hiddink as an a league coach? why not?

SFC do develop great young players. Their academy is at least on a par with ours.
Sadly they won't play them as they prefer over priced journeymen
When a SFC graduate scores for Wanderers and celebrates wildly it says a lot about the culture

Was still a foreigner at that time and they wanted new ones. Apart from 2 assists against SFC has done absolutely nothing at WSW. Age has got him and I think it was the right decision by SFC. Just the replacements haven’t done much and lolley is a one trick pony that the league worked out in a few weeks and Mack is just “bang average”

They look so much better when they play their kids but that’s not in the arnie SFC playbook and Corica doesn’t have his own ideas so they just stick to what they have done for years with the same players who are now to old and slower

I agree he’s not ninko of years ago but His read of the game is still streets ahead of the average

Bankwest pitch is terrible, grass seems to be dead and not sure you can blame that on the knuckle draggers. Been a good game and reds doing well running the drive byes around. Should be an interesting second half and hope the reds get up.

With all the guys available and Marcelo missing from Wanderers it`s certainly possible...
