ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'm assuming you're referring to Peil as the one calling the shots?

This dude already failed tremendously with the appointment of Wilkshire whom he was chirping on as the ultimate vision of long term success for the club... He lasted a few months.

Then I remember him chirping on about how of all the new recruits he was most impressed with Kelechi John, probs because he could bench the most.... Also lasted a few months.

Honestly hope he isn't the final say

What makes you believe he wouldn’t have the final say?

Just watched Abbas interviewed by Malaysian media.... he is miles away from where he needs to be.

So if Jimmy is right and the club are playing f**kwits......Abbas and Cahn are not it......who the hell is going to improve us?
I would be more inclined to make my decision based on what he does on the park rather than what happens in an interview. It’s probably his first gig at fronting at this level. A lot different to the NPL conferences or chatting to les Murray or Andy p after an NSL game.

Lots of good managers have been crap at media and lots of good players of the media have been crap managers.

He will make the final decision. MC has delegated the running of the Club to him for the duration of his lease.
He will have a selection committee, but he will either agree with their recommendations or not.
He has the absolute power of an owner.

. Rich has the option of endorsing a decision or making a decision ... big difference

. but, he may also be influencing a decision ... and that is possibly the most dangerous because it is less transparent

You are always the innovator Stu
I would like to see the winner of the member badge draw get to train the team and run the match day squad.

Bonus if you win on an AFC week.

Or we could do a guest coach arrangement like the NSL did with players. Bobby Charlton and Kevin Keegan at Blacktown back in the day. We could get hiddink or mourinho for a few games ????
or Peter Beardsley who also had fond memories of his time at Blacktown when I spoke to him years ago...

Because I am.

Unless a certain individual, does a 180 or a backflip on his decision making. Benny will not get the job. I'll be incredibly amazed if they do.

And if the person calling the shots is acting like this. Maybe it's best for him, and his career to not come up here.

Last I heard 2-3 days ago he was not on the short-list.
A lot can be said about a person in charge by the exodus of those beneath them.

It’s not looking great.
