ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Post in thread 'New coach - who will it be?' https://www.ccmfans.net/community/threads/new-coach-who-will-it-be.7086/post-367349I imagine visa's and contracts take some time. What sort of visa will an OS coach need and how long do they take?
Monty was already here and had work rights
Place your bets...which comes first membership card or coach?!It's been rumoured that a coach has been signed and we're all waiting eagerly...but are we sure there is even a done deal in place? Might be a wait yet

Surely it'll just be new coach, and maybe assistant. So what happens to our remaining coaches when new person comes in? Open slather, new crew? Control of the Yoof and coaches?
Usually managers get open slather on their first team coaches, I'd have thought.Surely it'll just be new coach, and maybe assistant.
Keeping the back room staff for consistency would be a no brainer.
Wouldn't it???
I think there's a lot of clubs that are resisting that path now. If the manager doesn't work out it means replacing a full coaching staff which has a massive impact.Usually managers get open slather on their first team coaches, I'd have thought.
You would think so. Hence the speculation it is an OS appointment waiting on a visa.A new manager would surely be part of an organised press announcement/conference, right?
Or would we expect it to just be a newsletter and socials/website post?
A Manager having success and leaving you'd have faith in the staff that were part of that success. If you've fired your manager you might think the staff around him were part of the problem. We're the former so I expect they'll stay. Not sure I'd include Muller in that.I think there's a lot of clubs that are resisting that path now. Part of the negotiations I would expect. So what happens to our remaining coaches when new person comes in? Open slather, new crew? Control of the Yoof and coaches?
I’ve been wondering about this a lot, and you’re right they do get an open slather. But we probably can’t afford an open slather of foreign coaches… moving them all over here etc. so our case is totally different to any other club. Which is why this apparent foreign hire is quite confusing over the likes of Cahn and Saad. It’s honestly going to make the transition more difficult.Usually managers get open slather on their first team coaches, I'd have thought.
Would make sense. Give the big spenders a proper exclusive before releasing to the members & public.Corporate season launch tonight. I’d expect an announcement of coach. Apparently a done deal. No idea as to who
