Dissapointing with Heff not on the scoresheet.
If I were him I'd stick it out with continuing to train with the Mariners, it'll do his skill-set, fitness and overall football knowledge nothing but positives rather than returning to Victoria and an NPL that he's very familiar with. Familiarity wont challenge him, which is what he needs next.
Keep up those levels till the end of the season and look to the NSWPL as opposed to going back to Vic.
There's 4 A-League clubs in NSW that ALL keep an eye on the NSWPL which will better his chances for the future.

Ben Cahn - was Queensland U13 State team coach as well as Noosa Lions FC coach. Was doing his A Licence with Joe Haywood.
Ben Cahn is Head Coach Performance Phase teams - CCMA, which is in effect head coach of the Central Coast NPL2 sides.
Joe Haywood who was the NYL Head Coach is also Head Coach of the Northbridge based North Shore Mariners Academy NPL2 side.
Nathan Stephenson, who was the Assistant Coach of the NYL side is also involved in a senior role with the Central Coast NPL2 side.
Most of the players from this year's NYL squad will be playing with one of the two CCMA teams in the NPL2. A few have chosen to play U20s with NPL1 clubs effectively ending any chance of being considered for the NYL next year if it does continue. My understanding is that it will for at least one more year after which every A League club will have their Youth teams playing in their state NPL. The Youth pathway will still be through the Academy teams of which Central Coast is fortunate enough to have 3 - Central Coast, North Shore and Western NSW.
CCM have shown their faith in their own youth system with Jake Adelson, Adam Berry, Trent Buhagiar, Tom Heward-Belle, Adam Pearce and Brian Jamba all making their way into the first team squads at some stage this season.

Central Coast Mariners has confirmed that Academy First Grade coach Ben Cahn has been appointed the club’s National Youth League boss.
The 28-year-old arrived on the Central Coast at the start of the 2016 PS4 NPL 2 season to lead the Central Coast Mariners Academy and help develop the next generation of Mariners stars.
Although the PS4 NPL 2 season has drawn to an end, their campaign has allowed the likes of Trent Buhagiar, Liam Rose, Tom Heward-Belle and Adam Berry to gain invaluable minutes under their belts during the Hyundai A-League off-season.
Under the tutelage of Cahn in the Academy set up young players such as: Ryan Peterson, Reece Papadimitrios, Shelford Dais, Adam Pearce, Lachlan Wales and Tom Lyons have all been involved with Hyundai A-League pre-season fixtures.
The aspiring coach is looking forward to his next step with the Mariners’ Foxtel National Youth League team as well as plying his trade under Paul Okon assisting with the Hyundai A-League squad.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time with the Mariners on the Coast so far,” Cahn said.
“It’s been a challenging NPL Season for many reasons but it’s given me a great background into the culture and environment we have here on the Central Coast.
“There are certain names from our academy teams that have been pencilled in to the FNYL squad but we are also very open to expanding our network and playing group so we will commence an open trial process that will allow us to look at not only players from NSW but also from interstate as well.
“You only have to look at some of the most recent Hyundai A-League pre-season games to see the representation of the academy there, most players that have played in our NPL first team this year have at some stage had an extended period of training with the A-League squad.”
The Central Coast Mariners will be holding NYL trials for players born between 1997 and 2000.
For Sydney residents only the open trial date is Tuesday 13 September at Northbridge Oval, Sailors Bay Road, Northbridge, at 6:30pm.
For interstate players who have been approved to attend, trials will be held on Saturday 17 September and Sunday 18 September at the Central Coast Mariners Centre of Excellence Bryant Drive Tuggerah (9am start both days).

The 2015/16 NYL saw a revamp of the format from that of the previous years, due in part to many of the A-League clubs frustration at bearing significant costs.
Remember reading last year that Tony Sage say : "For us the cost is about $450,000 a year. In my discussions with the other owners Adelaide pays around $220,000 and Brisbane about $300,000."
Threatening, along with other clubs, to pull-out of the competition, "We are just looking at ending flying teenagers around the country at huge cost to everybody."
Sage also said that many of the A-League clubs were already fielding teams in their corrosponding State Federations NPL competitions, with Syd and WSW the only teams at that time who weren't. The Mariners talked about handing the responsibillity of their Youth over to Central Coast Football as a possibility.
So the competition had a revamp of the format, the 10 clubs divided into two conferences;
Conference A
Adelaide United, Brisbane Roar FC, Melbourne City FC, Melbourne Victory and Perth Glory
Conference B
Central Coast Mariners, FFA Centre of Excellence, Newcastle Jets, Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers FC
Within each conference, the teams played each other twice over 10 rounds (4 home / 4 away – 8 matches and 2 byes per team), with the the x2 teams finishing in 1st place of each Conference to go on to play in a Grand Final to decide a National Champion.
Sydney FC beat Adelaide, 5-2 last season to become 2015/16 FNYL Champions, which was actually played at Central Coast Stadium

I was actually under the impression that the NYL had been 'scrapped' in favour of A-League Clubs playing their Youth through the NPL competitions in the various State Federations, which is what we (CCM), WSW & SydFC just did!
(The Jets in the NNSWFF NPL also.)
The news of Ben Cahn being appointed and players selection trials about to begin is great news in of itself, BUT I've heard zero from any other sources, in particular the FFA - about a 'Foxtel NYL 2016/17' announcement.
Anyone ???

CCMA youth have 4 trials against the 3 NSW A-League academy sides and a Canberra based side before Xmas. I wonder if the dates will correspond with the NYL draw.

Thought I could go to these games but didn't realise we were in a different conference to City/Victory. Ah well.
A lot of people I talk to (self included ) don't use desktop icons at all - programs they use regularly are pinned to taskbar - or they're on a Mac where everything they use is in the dock.
And real talk, it doesn't have to be used as a wallpaper anyway - just that it's more or less the convenient size to have it at. It can just be saved (or bookmarked) as a file/image to refer to in a single click instead of the clunky nav the FFA site offers.
As for changing weekly - when it's a hobby and I enjoy doing it, why not
