ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Yep - they were supposed to be playing SD Raiders midweek but are now playing Bankstown instead, so it will still be streamed as match of the round.
Sadly, no broadcast facilities or grandstand at Tuggerah so apologies in advance for the camera angle.

Also just realised this is on at the same time as SoO ๐Ÿ˜…

You do realise he won the NPL1 u20s at his first crack? No small feat. Also won the FNSWL1 20s the season prior.
The mistakes the kids have made defensively canโ€™t be wholly attributed to him.
That's true.

Has Deng always played Centre Back?

Just a sprinkle of experience would help. Can see what confidence and change Kuz gives.

Last game they tried to control the ball and recycle it through the back like the A League team but they went away from it. Had a feeling of Jacko had been working with them or with the coach at least.

If itโ€™s a group you are going to have together for 2/3 yrs they might not be worried about going down and might be hoping to come straight back up as they mature

Maybe that was the plan, get relegated and give them experience of gaining promotion and instilling that winning culture into the team.

Yup. Nothing breeds a winning culture like abject failure.:)
The 2 areas Dick gets stick for are the back office and the academy (dumpster fires). Interesting that he went full Trump in his letter talking them up.
Read his letters in Trumps voice and it makes more sense

I believe the plan was to get relegated.

As to why..?
I dont think anyone plans to get relegated, perhaps more of an expectation of relegation being suspended when (if) the NSD gets up. But if those teams dont pull out of NSW NPL to play NSD or it gets delayed its a risky play.

Last Iโ€™d been told is that NSD clubs will also be expected to compete in the NPL.
I guess the question is whether that was known or if assumptions were made when opting for a young squad at the outset. And even if info is or was accurate there's so much room for it to change quickly.

frankly i think the eyes lite up over resell players .
so experienced guys that weren't seen as instant A leaguers were moved on prematurely.
to make way for revenue products . this is what has back fired disastrously .

this will cost us time in replacing top flight A leaguers that move on .
dick move indeed.
