Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Obviously the early christmas present in the bown paper bag was recieved by Breeze.
Water under the bridge now, but surely he has to be on the take no one can be that inept.

On the positive side, proud of the boys for putting in tonight and still top of the league.

I heard that Matthew Breeze was going to wear an 'alternate' uniform tonight:

It was decided he shouldn't as it would have made his performance to obvious.

Thanks for that Omni. Well I guess it's his season over. Did he snap it?

I have never seen Heff more committed than tonight. Apart from being skinned for the goal he was imense and never stopped running. He was like a man possessed.

I am happy to say that the crowd showed passion tonight. Thats what the pitch invasion was all about, passion. And I think this will give the boys a real lift.

I too think this was a defining game for us. It wasn't the result we wanted but I think the boys will lift, they realise that calls didn't go our way and they know we have passion as supporters.

As for FC. they still have to make the finals, something I am not convinced they will do. I mean "IF" we had not had Danny sent of we would have run away with it. I'm proud the boys went for it, they didn't shut up shop, something we could have been accused of in the past

Well, was that the 90 minutes, 90 emotions of the ad?

I'm sure once I process it I'll realise I saw and was part of something special tonight.

I'd always maintained our home game against Sydney was special atmosphere wise. Tonight I was proud of the whole stadium. Wonder how long the A-League record for number of goals scored will stand.

I feel positive that we're still top of the league and until Danny's red turned the game on its ear how slick and strong we looked. I mean 4 or 5 - nil seemed on the cards to silence the Cove and send them home with their tails between their legs. And send a message to everybody else.

Now, what was a healthy playing roster this morning looks a bit bare. Danny and Kwassy suspended. Heff looked in a bad way. Aloisi and the in form Owens coming off. Hutch probably should have. Hopefully it'll look less gloomy in 9 days time.

Somebody please tell me (and then I'll feel a bit better) that Heff's destination from BlueTongue was back to his brother's wedding reception and not to hospital.

Mariners Man: Yep, I've posted all I can about the injury on the thread about it.

Yellowcake: I guess I won't tell you, sorry.

BTW - I am not condoning the Pitch invasion - it was dumb - but it showed the passion that everyone here has been calling for (just in the wrong way)

Vesh, to gloat over something like that shows you for what you are. A nasty little f**ker who has no place here

Do you think it was ok for Heff to be happy with what he did in round 1? I'm sure all of you were. bad challenge by Talay of course if it was any other player I wouldn't say anything and Heff yes only coz of what he did in round 1. I'm not happy he has a broken leg, I'm sure it's a really painful feeling plus he'll miss out on the socceroos qualifiers now, it's real bad for him and as a person do feel bad for him but as a football player not really because he deserved something from that round 1 challenge and unfortunately it was a broken leg. I wouldn't say he deserved a broken leg, just a bad hit to him aswell but karma unfortunately bites you back harder

I hope you enjoy your hospital stay when "karma" bites you back for your disgusting treatment of a man with a broken leg. I guess it also means Sydney FC are going to have a BIIIG problem with a MASSIVE injury some time soon!

As for Dean's comments on Total Football I believe it was "I was just doing to him what they were doing to us all night" go watch the replay I guess

Sydney have had their injury troubles, Juninho, Enfield, Casey, Timpano my god wonder what he did bad that has given him these injuries lol and don't think you understood what I ment properly. I'm not sitting here thinking sucked in you broke your leg you deserved that, I know that if I broke my leg I wouldn't be able to take the pain at all and wouldn't handle not being able to walk for a few months but I'm sitting here thinking more like damn karma can be a bitch for some people sometimes

Nice try Vesh. You clearly think he deserved a broken leg and you're cheering it happened.

In over fifty years of watching I have never seen a worst display by a ref, and ass ref, (I was on club side sideline).

To many things to list but if this guy is not back in associations then FFA need to explain.

Also Kossie has shown his true colours, and I think its bad for the league the hack and kick approach.

I will be sending my opinion to FFA suggest all who wish to complain do the same.

What has me most upset is we have four players injuried Clarky in head gear, reads and yellows all over the place, and Sydney I think two yellows.

I don't think this is the case tonight at Bluetounge, but in many European leagues a display by officials of this level could involve fraud police types being called in.
