Mariners vs Sydney

The bias shown by the Telegraph and the SMH towards Sydney FC really pisses me off given that the Central Coast falls within the readership zone of both newspapers. It would be the same as giving bias coverage towards one Sydney NRL team over the other Sydney NRL teams.

Yeah, and the Telegraph say they are "proud supporters of the Mariners". Both papers glorified Sydney FC. There is no way they deserved to win that. Sydney should have had at least 1 player sent off and a couple more yellows handed out. How the f#ck did Middleby not get a card when he ran straight into Hutch on purpose?
Anyway we put in a good performance considering the circumstances.

Only marginally less angry after sleeping on it....greatest game ever? My arse! It had the potential to be a great game, but was ruined by a ref who gave up even the pretense of impartiality after a short period. 2 red cards awarded - an injury time penalty (followed IMMEDIATELY by the final whistle...job well done there Breeze you utter shitbag), almost complete immunity for Bling players despite the fact they butchered us from one end of the pitch to the other, the awarding of as many corners as it took for Bling to get their goals...the list goes on.

We did contribute a little bit to our own downfall with our set piece defending, but NO team could have come out on top against a refereeing performance like that.

Utterly disgusted by Sydney's conduct throughout the game, disgusted by the ref.....never been a big one for conspiracy theories, but if you look at last night's game, you have to wonder if someone at the FFA is determined to see Bling Bling in the finals...??

Law 12 - Fouls & Misconduct

Decisions of the International F.A. Board

Decision 4
A tackle, which endangers the safety of an opponent, must be sanctioned
as serious foul play.

So therefore

Sending-Off Offences
A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off and shown the
red card if he commits any of the following seven offences:
1. is guilty of serious foul play
2. is guilty of violent conduct

Send off Talay breezy it's in the laws.
Your lucky you have the FFA's little "it was dealt with in the field" sh*t to hide behind.

Again, I am not one who wants to focus on Breeze though I can understand why we are venting today. On the subject, where was "our number one ref"? (The name escapes me this morning)

I said that as the teams walked out - I ask again today.

The whole of Law 12 needs a big look from Breeze

Send offs point 5 talks about how not only does it have to be an obvious goal scoring opportunity it needs to be heading towards goal.

I'm still too emotional today.  Anger management my eye!! You canshove it.

My family got injured last night and th referee did not ensure the safety of the players.  Maybe it only matters if its raining.  Rules are there for a reason.  In the Franklowy Football Association they are his rules.  I get what I want every time and I am above reproach. B///shit.:headbutt: :naughty:

Also the dickhead in the suit in the sydney cage.  What a p---kle!.  Whinger, sit down shut up.  Continually complained about mariners, danny and was allowed to invade the pitch and whinge to the 4th show up and ref person. :headbutt:

As you can see I'm still an emotional wreck today.  Once we hold up the toilet seat, we can spit in lowy's eye.  :vomit:

everyone seems to be forgetting the foul on kwasnik. it was a counter-attack break down the eastern flank in the 2nd half and kwasnik had his whole lower body taken out from underneath him from a malicious tackle from behind, and breeze simply waved play on.

far worse than anyone has commented on in my opinion.

The bearing of questionable decisions on the result is one thing, and like so many other times "that's football"... we're starting to get used to it by now. But sadly last night was proof that the other part of the ref's responsibility is for the safety of players.

An interesting stat would be the number of players cautioned by Breeze but not actually carded. Perhaps if a card was given out after the 3rd or 4th caution..... no, we musn't go into "if", GRRRRRR.

Heff's season must surely be over, hopefully he's the only one, and there are no lasting after-effects. If anyone believes that Heff's broken leg was "karma" for a single shoulder-to-shoulder incident, then there are a few Sydney players who will break every arm and leg in every game they play next season.

heffs challenge in round one was pretty stupid and malicious. doesnt justify a broken leg though. like you said floss, there was just to much 'cautioning' and slaps on the wrist to sydney and not enough action taken on their thuggish tactics. they did it every time we counter attacked.

i felt after dannys send off we were just defending for most of the game but when we did win the ball we would have a good counterattacking run until one of the sydney players would take the attacking player down

Heffs challemge in round one was after the ref had just warned Sydney players including Milligan for more than two minutes for charging at players rather the playing the ball. The ball comes back into play and Spike comes barelling through nowhere near the ball and gets a bodycheck. The ref had warned him and he got what he deserved.

Breeze is a total disgrace, and should be investigated, but then again his a** would be covered by  the same people who gave him that huge Christmas bonus for getting Sydney in last night, that dweeb Kosmina deserves no credit for their win, as it was all a well planned conspiracy theory, anyone paying attention to the Sydney side could see something corrupt was going on, and they were out to win by dirty means, which they did, so if they are proud of winning dirty then so be it, as our boys win by fair and hard play, and why they're on the top. Isn't it funny how Sydney were calling us every name under the sun, and laughing at our injured players, yet if we even stooped to do the same we would cop the biggest blasting, Sydney are all one sided, just like that twat Breeze, and that other twat Kosmina, not to say the least Mr Lapaglia, and Mr Lowy, as whatever Frankie wants Frankie gets as money talks and bullshit walks, as always. I was shattered last night, and still am, as when our boys hurt, so do I, it's not a fact of being a sore loser here, it's a fact of playing fair, and last night was as corrupt as hell, and Sydney had a hit list vendetta to keep and did, and the ONLY way they could win. And to those Sydney fans who called us hicks and said we live in s***, I lived in Sydney for the first 30 years of my life, and am so glad I left there 11 years ago, as I can see your mentality will never change and that you're still as spiteful and disgraceful as ever, have some respect when visiting other's domain, and of all times at Christmas, some example you are of goodwill and peace, what a damn joke. If the FFA want Soccer to succeed here, they need to pull their fingers out and look into the ref's ruining the magic of the game, and I for one would have had a go at Breeze, if I could last night, ladylike or not, as he was unfair, arrogant, and corrupted by the $$$$ signs in his eyes, and hip pocket.

I'm gutted obviously, but life goes on.

The calls of corruption and match fixing are jut a bit far fetched. we lost on the night due to our players actions when Sydney got close to the goal. I'm upset that extra time went on so long and that cost us a point but we really did well to keep coming at Sydney and push them so far, remember what happened in V1 when we lost meggsy against sack me. We lost but we are still clear at the top and heck that was great drama for the extra 5k that we don't normally get.

*puts Tin Foil hat on*

Franklowy Football Association (brilliant piss-taking name by the way) demands that Sydney be in the finals, because heaven forbid if Australia's Biggest And Most Grandedly Greatest Club in the History of Football in the Universe isn't in the finals.  What with their big crowds, community connections, and record sponsorship dollars...... yes??

It's a shame that something like this is even contemplated, but after a performance like last night's (and taking into consideration Shield's effort the last time we played them), it's something that really wouldn't surprise me.  Uncle Frank indeed.

*takes Tin Foil Hat off*

Anyone remember that "tackle" where Old Man Corica simply tripped over himself, stumbled for a few steps then fell flat on his face - AND THEN ONE OF OUR GUYS GOT BOOKED FOR IT?!?!?!?!?  For freaking _shame_ Mr. Breeze.  You c*nt.

The PintCulture.com headline says it all......

"5 Goals To Sydney, 4 Goals To Mariners, 3 Points For Lowy, 2 Red Cards And A Happy John Kosmina".

Thoroughly enjoyable game though. Not the result I was hoping for (Christmas would have been sweeter without Sydney in the top 4), but I guess it means we can still catch you lot!

Breeze was assigned to the game that was postphoned so I guess that's the reason he officiated the match last night. I hope I never see his face on a pitch again.

He probably isnt corrupt, he just knows how to get on in Uncle Franks FFA.

Cheat and make sure SFC get a helping hand.

Until Lowy is gone from their club, they are always going to be the recipients of incredible bias.

Still, at least Total Football will be happy. Their team is in the 4
