ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners Squad 2023/2024

Some work to do to bring the overall quality of the squad up. Fortunately we have a solid backline and central CMs so its really the go forward and goals that are the concern.

Can’t get my head around the club agreeing to release Beni without some form of compensation, as that appears to fly in the face of the supposed business model.

Plus, surely any fee he might have commanded would literally be petty cash in the Saudi league? Some further explanation of the rationale behind this announcement wouldn’t go amiss.
Sounds like we tried and nothing came through.

Only 1 yr left so no time to make money off him apart from now.

Also a visa so maybe the open spot is worth more than Beni being here unhappy for 1 more year.

The giraffe on skates ended up being a pretty good player whose ability to control the ball and transition us into attack will actually be missed

I am loving the flying brick hints in here. Is so much easier than trying to work out difficult links. Thanks everyone makes life easier.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
So, benny gets let go so he can be closer to family in France, but goes to the desert... WTF

Hmmmm, wish I had your optimism.
Not optimism - just who we have at the moment. The other point is that we may be trialing visa players away from prying eyes in Thailand. No matter what, we are not playing Australia Cup with half a squad and mostly NPL players in the first week of our pre-season, as has happened before.

Here's 20 players we do have, 10 of which featured on Grand Final day.

Vukovic, Warshawsky, Millard, Farrell, Kaltak, Paul, Hall, Windust, Roux, Balard, Nisbet, Tapp, Steele, Theoharous, Di Pizio, Tulio, Kuol, Wenzell-Halls, Reec, Hammond

If it is true we are losing another 1-2 visa players then we have the capacity to bring in 2-3 visa players. I would be looking at a CB and 2 wide attackers that can also play centrally.

Yep, despite the out goings we’re still not in such an awful place as we have been previously. The building blocks are in place to remain quite competitive and even the least knowledgeable fan can be confident Monty and Serg will be bringing in quality replacements.
Most of us know the biggest key right now is Monty.

Surely no one here was expecting us to defend our championship? We’ll be competitive and go from there. Trust.

Owner was deadset on us being in a position to seriously compete for the AFC Cup. Thought we would retain a lot more.
