ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariner stuff not worthy of a whole thread

I realise that mainstream commercial media companies have a vested interest in the AFL and the code of wife bashers, but yesterday one of the ABC's sports stories was about an AFL player who missed training. WTF? This is the off season for these codes yet a training problem made their TV report. A coordinated campaign needs to be made to get the ABC to report more on A League games during our season. Does the Paramount deal limit their reporting on our league? I'll be in contact with Aunty and I encourage everyone here to do the same.

This shit absolutely sickens me. Was probably reported ahead of the Socceroos also.

The 1st time I went to Perth I watched their ch9 news.
45 minutes of AFL. 10 minutes of WA news, 5 minutes global.
Their obsession is the level of football you get everywhere else in the world.
Pick fights you can win.

I'm not talking about commercial TV which is understandably trying to promote a product that they are linked to. I'm talking about "Our ABC" and a frivolous story about one player in his OFF season.
I think this fight CAN be won because the ABC is supposed to serve all of us. Ours is the world game, and the game with the highest participation rate [at least with juniors] in the country]. I'm not talking about an obscure sport. Nothing will change unless we try.

So with Ita running the ABC its been essentially turned into a broadcast tabloid. They basically try to directly compete with MSM.

At least will be good to have another fresh set of legs available for the Wellington game less than 3 days after Adelaide.

Our ABC is heavily involved in both those sports through grandstand radio.

Like it or not it probably was hitting 75% of there audience and they would have been more interested in that than A League or Socceroos.

That’s why the relationship with 10 is important. Unfortunately 10 is in the toilet too

I heartily recommend viewing Marko Rudan’s post match interview from the Bulls game, very entertaining! Surely every coach, player and fan thinks the world is against them at some stage? Rudan goes next level, surely he’s facing a lighter wallet by week’s end?

I think he discredited a bit of what he was saying by implying his blokes were hardly done by with their reds. Would have preferred to hear him call out the Bulls lack of red last night and when Davila hit the bloke in the neck in Brisbane while other fouls like O'Shea's get intervention. VAR has had a shocker of late and should be called out.

I haven't heard his interview but I can imagine what pissed him off. The goal call was outrageous - nowhere near over the line... except that it was Wanderers so therefore it was way over.

It's the sort of decision you'd expect against the Mariners but not against them.
