As in too old. Spoke to him after the FFA Cup final and he would prioritise Australia over Fiji. Has been asked by Fijian Association already and he said no.

Dan is the same age as Niz. Also Miller will be too old for next Olympics so isn't the reason for Dan missing out. Great to see Jacob selected for first Aust team. Hopefully first of many.

I can't think of another reason why they are delaying naming a player other than someone being under an injury cloud, but why not just name them for now, or name an extended squad with one to be omitted?

If Adelaide make the GF then 4 of the squad will miss almost all of the pre-comp training camp which starts on Monday, so there might have been sense in taking a slightly larger squad into camp and culling later anyway

True, but if that’s the line you’re taking and assuming Redders never gets on then we should be taking a younger keeper like Glover or Gauci for succession planning. Birraz is younger (and better) than Redmayne anyway if you’re looking at the shorter term.
