ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Setting :

At Fox studios before the Sydney derby looking at the concrete 1930's buildings. All they need is a big f**k off concrete eagle.

We discussed how 3rd Reich they looked and wondered if Australia would accept a fascist regime (think Aussie Trump - populist fear monger etc)

We felt Australia would love being a fascist state.

Thoughts (yes it's a horrible thought)
I don't think it could happen here, compulsory voting would be our saviour too many moderates forced to care would easily overpower angry minority groups unlike in the US.

Its starting to get uncomfortable for malcom.
cory bernadi and feiravanti-wells want more poofter bashing in schools
scotty morrission cant even fund a milk shake tax cut
its a great day to be a german car marker of commodores
its a great day to be a spanish ship biulder
the coasts internet is now slower than adsl , because malcom invented the internet.

Turnbull lost the republic vote with only 5% support for the monarchy .

I bet Malcolm now wishes he'd left the Budgie Smuggler in the job until after the election, when not only AA would be gone, but also most of his Nazis with him.

Shorten's not a superstar, and he's not everyone's cup of tea, but he doesn't pretend to be either of those things.

Shorten doesn't disappoint in the way that Turnbull does. White bread tastes like white bread, but if you're promised an artisan loaf and you get Tip-Top multigrain, you get the shits.

Shorten's team wipes the floor with Turnbull's too. They're actually bringing out really decent policy on health, education, tax policy, small business policy, climate change...

Turnbull's got a fight over a program designed to stop bullying in schools.

Dead set, it should never have been a winnable election for Labor, but it bloody well is.

Turnball has been a massive disappointment but after his first attempt as leader probably not a surprise.

After all the shit labor put us through why are the Libs doing similar things.

Tony couldn't explain anything but Malcom who can has nothing to explain.

Obviously it will be built around the budget and the media doesn't want to wait that long.

The one thing Malcom has had his Mits all over is the NBN and it's becoming a joke for its ability vs labor just for its cost. I'd rather it cost more and work.

All the indecisiveness is troubling.

Especially with Gay marriage. Who cares about anyone's beliefs it will happen eventually wether it is this government the next or the one after that. So just do it. We don't need a vote just propose it and get it done, labor would vote yes and so would enough others to get it passed. We don't need to waste money on it.
If they had announced it at the Mardi Gra the gay community would have been happy, the government would be known as making decisions and its win win.

The fact that labor even gets mentioned as a serious choice is a laugh we don't need or want but Malcom has made it a reality.

What's worse than a bad decision is indecision.

Labor arguably gets those votes anyway when preferences are distributed.

(Awaits Dibo's analysis of Green preference distributions over their whole history)

Long term, Labor gets about 80% in Federal elections.

In State elections, where preferencing is optional, the preference flow isn't as strong as a lot of Green votes exhaust.

<rant>

This is exactly why Labor's shitty about the proposed Senate voting changes - allowing preferences to exhaust will cost the left Senators, while the fact that the Libs and Nats run joint tickets will deliver them relatively more Senators and give them a stronger chance at a Senate majority.

But the Greens will get Lib preferences in seats like Sydney and Grayndler in return for giving open tickets in seats like Lindsay, Corangamite, Robertson, Dobell, La Trobe, etc., so Richard di Natale will be happy. More chances for him to knock off progressive Labor members.

At election time, the Greens will spend all their money in seats where they're fighting Labor, and drag Labor money and resources away from seats where they're fighting the Libs, and if Labor complains they'll say that the progressive parties should be working together.

They can get f**ked.

The last time a small party did a deal with the Libs, they went down the gurgler at the next election. Anyone remember the Australian Democrats? They get less votes now than Pauline Hanson.
If Labor has any sense, they'll do just as TB suggests. In fact, I think I'll steal that idea and bring it up at the next branch meeting. Thanks TB.

Labor should of ran an add when the libs lied about the ets.
With christine milne in a wedding dress marrying barnaby bullshitter joyce.
Instead labor got wedged by liberal party pure bullshit and green naivety.
Then milne wanted a carbon tax that she already could of had.
The greens are the worst lap dogs to ever walk a political stage in this country.

Could have, should have (could've, should've). Not 'of'.

the irony is that the only party to lie about the 'carbon tax' was actually the LNP. Gillard got outmaneouvred there.

although the fact that LNP supporters did nothing but scream 'lies!' for that time but went silent with Abbott in power just shows the level of hypocrisy it takes to vote LNP.

the greens part in the ETS legislation failure to pass is on record .
the level of money the climate denial lobby has and the same tactics as used by the Tabacco companies was well known . indeed the same fred singer the tabacoo lobby used , was the first scientist wheeled out by the denial lobby.

the libs ALWAYS LIE !the greens knew better . they are the Quislings of australian politics

We need someone who will MAKE AUSTRALIA GREAT.

Who will pick Donald's baton and unite the AM talk back radio listeners and Telegraph readers into the force it will take to drag us back to 1950?
