Good for them. He was doing fine. Kwasnik, Heffernan and Simon were all worse. Simon in particular was back to his hammertouch headless chicken season 3 best and murdered the best chance of the night pushing a free header wide.

I love Matty and still have no particular affection for Mrdja, but it's stupid to bag a bloke just because he's the bloke we bag regardless of how he's playing and how the rest are going around him.

The whole team looked flat and I have a sneaky suspicion that they may have over trained for what was a huge game as in table position.

  The talk in the grandstand after the game was quite the opposite. It was said that it was a light and relaxed week as far as the physical side of the conditioning and intensity was concerned. If that was the case then they certainly carried it over into the game and fell on their sword because of it.

To tapper for a game is a fine line between over done and under done and both have the same result. Good to know Im on the right track

LM needs to stop f**king around with his forwards. Apart from Simon, Mrdja is the only one at the club who has any chance going on in future up front (Kwasnik will be reserve attacking utility), so he should be playing every game now to see whether or not he does continue.

EDIT: And if he does go, he'll probably score goals. Murphy's law kinda thing. Not that you'd begrudge LM if he does let him go.

By "taking the piss out of us for so long" I assume you mean he was malingering instead of being genuinely injured? Boy, how shit are our medical staff for not picking up on that?

No. Hard not to imagine he would have scored a very valuable ten odd goals or so by this point, and would have been our lead scorer.

When you look back at our season, even a reasonably consistent/in form striker and we would be well in the mix.
