ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Possible 'bloody trumpet' ban  :)

I'm in two minds about this......they are so f**kin annoying....even when a goal is scored you can hardly hear any crowd reaction for those bloody things. For me it's spoiling the whole event.

On the other hand if it's part of their football fans culture then we should just have to deal with it.

Just don't give that bloody continent the WC again !

Should never have been in Africa, simply unable to cope. Reports that police fired percussion granades at unpaid stadium workers today too. As for those horns. Ruining the comp IMHO

Yeah had a chat on facebook with a mate out there who basically said the 'new' South Africa is just a facade.

live with it.

originally, the Vuvuzuela isn't from South Africa. On TV they said that the Chinese got it with them to the African continent.
They are really annoying, it sounds like a lot of bees flying through the stadium.

One of the DUFC forums was running a comp in 5 min spells on how long it would take the English match commentators to mention England during the South Africa v Mexico opening game.

The guy that had "immedietely before kick off" won it lol.

And they wonder why we get pissed off listening to them !

Japan vs Cameroon atm.
stadium is more than half empty, and it seems everyone in the stadium has a vuvuzela.
seriously it looks like a f**king a-league crowd, disgracefully disapointing.
FIFA, please never send the world cup to South Africa EVER again.

Ever thought that FIFA's ticket prices and policy of only selling them online until a week before the tournament started may have had an impact??

A majority of the country live on around $1.50 US a day.  The cheapest ticket is $20 US.

Never ever thought I would agree with Craig Foster but he just made some sense on SBS2.

Foster spoke about the need to take some responsibility out of Pim's hands as he froze on the world stage and get some ex Australian players to come into camp and address the players and focus them on the next game against Ghana.

Wise words or is it the lack of sleep over the last 5 nights.

it's a world cup
these things only ever come around every 4 years, if your country is lucky.

Pretty sure there is enough reason to be focused.

i dunno if they actually deserved it...
slovakia were a class above. Maybe a touch cocky after the goal- but that's football

Still, you could see how much this meant to the Kiwis
