ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

In relation to recent events, did we have a chance do get someone on the APL board, or was it just invite only for a selected few? Wr are the community club and I feel a voice from us could do a whole lot of good.
On what planet are CCM a community club? We have private owners.
We may brand ourselves as one but its not the case.

Do we think Monty will at some point change the direct style to actual triangles and 1/2 football?

A few teams have had success in the World Cup with the 4/2/3/1 when starting play from the back, don’t have to think to be naturally diagonal and ready to recieve ball as you move back into you’ve formation.

Why after one quarter of our season has gone are we equal on the ladder to Roar and only 4 points off the bottom. This with a bigger spend and 3 WC reps?
What is going wrong?

Dud keeper and dud imports.

Persistence with Kaltak when he should have been dropped.

Persistence with Beni when he should have been dropped.

Not playing Hall because you're stubborn.

Misuse of Garang.

It's beginning to point at the manager but I don't want to go there, plenty of time to turn it around.

See my earlier, verbose, rambling, malt whisky inspired question.

Shit keeper, lazy over paid imports doing nothing
Agree with this 100%. Really feels like we are back to having players on a paid holiday.
I don’t think this necessarily with Danny.. but suspect he saw this as his avenue to well paid retirement when he had to have known he wasn’t the keeper he used to be. (No doubt he’s frustrated by it but can’t change it.)
But that lacklustre performance on the weekend on what was supposed to be a derby just reinforced that half these players have no passion or pride at all.

Whatever happened to the commentary that it takes imports some time to adjust to new country, playing conditions etc? Losing Urena, Kai and Birras has hurt us badly and it is entirely possible that other clubs have improved with covid travel restrictions etc largely behind us…
Personally I think all of the imports have shown periods of quality and we might need to be a little more patient for the team to consistently click. Or perhaps I’m being overly optimistic. Only time will tell….

The loss of Kuol will be massive (to state the obvious)….
