ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Shaun in many respects is irreplaceable. Any replacement was going to struggle in following in his footsteps.

Funny how the doco is now pretty outdated when it was only released the other month.
I've not had time to watch it, so I guess now I should wait for an updated "where are they now" segment at the end.

It's definitely a Sydney and Brisbane thing - Brisbane is notorious for "which team is the show", where it spikes if a team does well and plummets otherwise. Sydney is similar, but bigger so statisically there's a few more that will show up each week.

Melbourne is much more of a membership-based ride or die attitude, but that just gives them a solid enough floor just with get massive spikes if a given team is doing well.
The Roar got 50k+ to their GF's easily, but then only about 13-16k for their regular season games.

Melbourne gets bigger crowds for everything because there's not much else going for the place, unless sitting on milk crates in graffiti-covered laneways is your kind of buzz...

Still can't believe we weren't pushing memberships on the night. Should have had QR codes on display, and on the screen before the game or at half time.

Heck, even just "scan this code to be notified when you can sign up " would have been something.

Massive missed opportunity
Said it before and I'll say it again here now that post-GF merchandising has been a massive missed opportunity also. Just getting your hands on official GF merch was like buying an ultra-limited edition designer watch, when that stuff should've been getting sold everywhere: sports stores, pop-up kiosks in the major shopping centres (Deepwater, Imperial, Erina Fair, Westfield Tuggerah). A huge night for the Coast- easily the biggest night for Gosford since I moved up in the early 90's- and so much money/ exposure left on the table...

I don’t disagree. Funnily enough.. I wax just folding our washing and there were several Mariners jerseys in there, and the thought crossed my mind that the only merch we never got was the Champions jersey, or any of that gear, actually. Mind you. On our most recent jersey, last seasons Australia Cup, the emblem is actually peeling off the front.
So.. not just missed opportunities with merch over the last year, it kinda went to crap as well.
