Twats booing Pain when he came on last night. Really?

Always put in a shift and was usually the only one who looked like he gave a shit. Take him back for his work rate alone.

After the game pretty much all of the Mariners players went over to him and you can see they were mates. Wales just got away as fast as he could.

Call me a cynic but I have a suspicion that DDS has been putting in this year, the last year of his contract, to gain a new one.
It then seems to me that as soon as he gets this he is out with a toe injury. Hmmm.
I remember the spat he had to get away because he insisted that he signed so he could play under Okon.
You’re a cynic AM. ?

He’s carried a foot injury for weeks and played through the pain for most of it. A week and a half ago his foot was black from bruising. With semis on the horizon seems like the best move to rest him. Personally I hope he’s fit to play.

Been thinking about the Janota situation a lot. He’s a Staj signing. Quickly realised he doesn’t rate him for whatever reason. IMO what has stopped us going to that next level has been a goal scoring midfielder. You know…. That one big Serbian bloke we had last season. Janota was supposed to be an upgrade (I think he’s a slightly more refined player tbh)
So really, Staj got that one wrong but hindsight is a helluva bitch
It’s clear that Janota and jankovic will get punted so work needs to be done to bring in a high level goal scoring mid perhaps combine what both those blokes got this season to do it. If Ruon gets nicked Dan hall is more than ready. If Simmo retires we’ve got brilliant youth strikers lining up.

Yeah I’d take Galloway back in a heartbeat

Forgot Galloway.

Yeah I hope he’s fit too, Regardless of ditching us, he’s been fantastic for us this year and has earned the right to keep his spot in the finals.

One of the highlights for me last night was seeing the genuine joy all the younger guys got from winning that game, there's a fantastic camaraderie amongst that young group that, despite a few of them being from interstate, bodes well for our chances of re-signing a lot of very promising players.

I think Milan would have suited this years team a lot more than last year’s as well

Where would you fit him in? Right mid maybe? Fit, season starting Duric wouldn’t be a hard call to make but carrying injury and the way it impacted his work rate I wouldn’t renew unless I was absolutely certain the issue was resolved.

Booing Pain was just wrong and I was really disappointed to hear that.

Thanks for clearing up my doubts. I was concerned by him dropping out of the team the same time as the rumour of him leaving surfaced. Seemed similar to when Okon got the flick. Add to that there were rumours here of disharmony in the squad, and adding 2 + 2 gave me 5.
Hope he is good for Saturday.

I think Nisbet is the best replacement if we changed to a 433 with Niz, Olly, Stens as the middle 3.
This is a great point, i think there's a lot to be said for shifting to a 433. Having Niz, Ollie and Stens in the middle would be tough as nails with Urena in front playing 9.

Then it would be down to the staff to recruit two quality wide players for the next season (easier said than done, but can definitely be accomplished!) or give some younger players a proper go in their actual position (casella for instance).

Birraz
Miller Kye Hall Clisby
Niz, Stens, Ollie
W1 Urena W2

It would be interesting.
But, I would play Nizz or Ollie in the middle forward of the other 2, and have Urena play as a false #9. W1 and W2 must be able to shoot accurately on sight.

Was told his ankle/foot is a real mess so I wouldnt be surprised if we never saw him in our colours again

Weird. Players leave all the time. We were unhappy about Pain leaving but he did nithi
