Was talking to a couple of mates last night and we can hardly wait to see Mustafa play...

Also Spoke to a bloke from Blacktown who saw a bit of him playing as a kid and he says he is the best player he has ever seen as a junior ... the bloke is in his 70's ... he never saw Harry as a kid but saw a number of other Socceroos from WS ...

No youth or young players will be playing in the 1st grade team. Arnold will be looking for experience and results, :piralaugh: :piralaugh: :piralaugh: no youth or anyone under 21years old...... ;D

The reports I hear is he would walk into any A-League first team... IMO will be very hard not to play him ... but even to think about building a team to support his skills... if you go back in this thread far enough I posted an SBS clip of this kid .... he is for his age in the opinion of many of the countries best judges not only the best but the best for a number of years...

Remember Dukes played for the Melbourne Knights at 15 ... Harry played at Leeds at 17... Timmy Oar at 17 played for the Roar...

If I remember correctly Amini's goal was stated to be getting onto the bench and then getting some game time by the end of the first season... Wasn't it?

If he's talented, with injuries and the like, sounds a pretty reasonable goal to me GT regardless of what you think Arnies predisposition will be.

I Have not seen him play, but would guess you have not either?

If he was good enough to start now, he would have picked up a contract a few weeks into the season. Even if there is an AIS based probelm to moving during a season, he would have had a contract for next year signed months ago.

The AIS dont have to have a team in the national youth league for clubs to send scouts to watch players, who are assumed to be some of the best in the country. I would think every club has a constant eye on the AIS, and even if he is a very good signing, there is not much to expect of him too quickly

LOL @ pressure on a 16yr old kid to play right away.
You'll be lucky to see him on the bench next year. Kids that age are usually signed to lock them in early and get them in a pro environment, training full-time so they can develop as quick as possible.

He will be our long lost No10, the greatest living Mariner since Tommy.

No good putting him in the yoof team, at 16 he needs to be playing against battle hardened midfielders and defenders. That Andy Todd, Ljubo etc will be meat and drink to a young kid not fully developed as a body let alone a footballer.

Developing skills. Really, what has this club come to? We need a talisman and we need one now.

EXCLUSIVE: North Queensland Fury defender Rostyn Griffiths is about to be unveiled as a Central Coast Mariner, au.fourfourtwo.com understands.
Griffiths, formerly on the books at Blackburn Rovers, had  a brief spell with Adelaide United before joining Fury for their first season in the A-League.

The tall 22-year-old defender who was born in the UK was also played as a midfielder and popped up to score some valuable goals for the Townsville based club.

Now he's set to join his former teammate Daniel McBreen at Gosford's Bluetongue Stadium.

arnie going after lawrie and fergies seconds.

I think the trial was against Fury. If I remember correctly (big call I know) Fergie asked Lawrie if he could approach him.

Tis true we're signing Griffiths, Lawrie decided against him last year as he wasn't the type of player we needed at the time.

Arnie is off to Argentina in the next few weeks to look for our number 10, he knows who he wants is my understanding.
