ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

CCM vs Victory Away

We also won games because of officiating but you choose to ignore that.

Despite being in the finals the last two years and maybe this year, when was the last time we won in Victoria? What state does JB mostly referee in? Was JB responsible for our Victorian losses?
Here are some stats on games with JB, Victoria and Victorian teams is not a defining factor.

Since 2019 (when we have been a much better team) - 10 games officiating (2 at CCS, 1 QLD, 2 NZ, 3 other NSW stadiums and 2 in Victoria)

Our dire Victorian results have very little to do with JB as we only played 2 games in Victoria a draw with Victory and loss to Homeless FC at Geelong. All other 8 games were against non Victorian teams and we won our two games in that period and that was against the Roar about a month ago and scum in 2021. We had a loss and draw in our two home games against SFC and Perth respectively.

I guess we will find out on Sunday afternoon how he goes.

So actually, nothing pointing towards JB being in on a conspiracy theory against us?

We are actually not the worst under him only second worst, the Drive Byes are no wins from 9 matches. As someone mentioned he seems to not want to review his decisions and consider changing them if it's warranted. That is always a worry as well as being prone to giving away very soft free kicks and Pens. To me that shows what appears to be confidence issues around his decision making.

This is the third season we have now been a finals team, Barreiro has been officiating for 5 or 6 seasons. Our second win with him was not long ago against the Roar. Before that was 1 win in 15 games.
10/16 games with him were in our shit years

Out of the remaining 6 (except for the BR game) , are games we know we've choked. 1 all Nix, 0-5 SFC, 0-1 Jets, 1-all PG and MV

We also won games because of officiating but you choose to ignore that.
Not nearly as many as we've lost....

Anyway, I think we've focusing too much on those stats.

Over the years he's been refereeing, we've had win %as low as 11.11%. Our draw % with him is much higher than our actual average. I think it would be a bit of a stretch to be saying 'it's high with him because he's in the conspiracy and makes dodgy decisions to prevent us winning'.

He's refereed a few of our 4-5 game losses.

25% of our games he's refereed have been one of the 3 Melbourne teams. As we know, our club is somehow allergic to playing in Mexico, though a couple of his were draws. And in most cases, our Melbourne games aren't due to refereeing (especially if we take the Shaun f**king Evans games out of the equation); we're just shit when we come down here.

4 games of his we've lost by 3 or more.

I don't think the stats really tell us much. Of course we can recall some times he's made wrong calls against us - there isn't a single referee out there who hasn't made mistakes against every club, but I don't recall (and others may disagree) him being a particularl poor or problematic referee for us, unlike about half of the refereeing squad.

The 2 idiots in the bunker, however, don't even pretend to be impartial - though the biggest question isn't why are they so f**king dodgy, but why are they allowed to get away with it. But, that's a question we've discussed many times.

It's a problem when we have a must-win game, and we can expect to get f**ked by VAR - especially when we've already had a number of very questionable red cards over the last few weeks.

Who's going to get sent off for blinking at an opponent this week? At what minute in the match will we see a penalty awarded because the velco on Danny's gloves is crooked?

The bigger test will be - can we rally when the Duo of Dodginess, KGJ and KA in the bunker start to remember to f**k us?

You'd have to think Kaltak starts. He's been brilliant, red cards aside, and grown into the season. Hopefully he's learnt his lesson regarding diving in, but not too much.
