Thought Alfie has a good first half. Probably happy the weather was more his style.

Alou was good too.

Di Pizio was a ballerina this afternoon. Some magic touches but also should have gone to his strong side for a shot and missed linking with Durate but was very lively after came on.

We might have found our formation

A game we should have of and had to win so a pass mark for me.

Vitor hasn’t been as bad as some are suggesting, I think we have worked out how to use him. Two starts up front and we have scored 5 goals (1 pen). It is working with him partnering with Kuol. He put in some pretty good passes and pressed a lot. Happy to keep it going as it is giving Doka some freedom and less pressure.

The last 15 mins was hard to watch, the young players that come in got bossed by their CB’s and we shut up shop but luckily didn’t concede. If they scored with 10 to go it would have been heart attack material.

Alfie had an immense game especially in defence, Steele pulled off a great tackle so where has that been all season.

Overall we have played well the last two games and I think with this squad it’s important to finish on a positive. Perhaps now the finals are out of reach we have relaxed and are enjoying our football again.
Just goes to show how we all see the game differently.

Those of us in Bay 17 were bagging Alfie and his hopeless passes all game.

Thought we got lucky today in a very low quality game. I did think Alou had his best game for a while despite looking disinterested at times. And how well did Theo hit his goal despite having otherwise little impact?

3-1 and people are complaining.OK Perth didn't offer much but you can only play what is in front of you.Cracker of a goal from Theo-otherwise he was pretty shit.Feijao was not as bad as others have made out and Faisal was not better when he came on.

Sains and Kaltak were strong in the air and kept the Peth attackers, including Taggart under control.Alfie worked reallyh hard and starting to show his worth though not a Balard or Nisbet.Mauragis made himself available and put in a good cross leading to Kuol's goal.

DPC had a good game.Looked confident and bossed the penalty area.
Feijao was shit. I would have hooked him at half time.
The cross was from Alfie not Mauragis.

I actually thought he was decent. He defended well and didn’t do that much wrong in the context of a very ordinary game.

Our passing was poor across the board but so was Perth’s, coupled with a lot of “balls to nowhere.”

Mauragis worked his backside off. I thought he should have come off round the 75th minute mark as he looked spent, but he still managed to find some reserves when he needed it.

Feijao did my head in. He definitely had some moments of looking lively and I do agree he created a bit more oomph in our attack but the amount of times he lost the ball would have been deadly playing a quality opposition.

We have been slow and sluggish all season. I doubt there js a daily zoom call (yes, I know that was in jest), but seriously it’s probably a monthly check in.

Surely this must be a top priority to address in the off season.

We did OK. We are so slow and static but a few times we went for it we played some nice Football.

Dylan. Couple of heart in the mouth moments but some good saves as well. He is improving.
Paull. Not his best game but some good moments.
Kaltak. Sloppy a couple of times but saved us a couple of times.
Tesco. Decent.
Mauragis. Frustrating but he did give us a good attacking outlet at times.
Theo. As usual our most likely source of a goal but butchers some good moments. Some sublime skills at times and an excellent goal. 1pt
Harry. Much better effort.
Alfie. Mixed game but pretty much all good moves came via him. Was tenacious today which i like. 2pts
Doka. Pretty good. Won the pen and converted it. 1pt
Feijo. He is very ordinary.
Kuol. MoM. Impressive game. 3pts

But Alfie was ordinary apparently.
Tevor, you know many people on this forum are easily influenced. I was in the good seats and you have a much broader view of the game than from Bay 16 and 17. Alfie had a good game. One wild over hit pass to Mauragis and also lost the ball high up the pitch to put us under pressure.
Overall he was easily one of our best performers. We lack quality all over the park but Alfie and Doka always show that extra bit of class.

You can be ordinary and still have good moments in a game.

Having said that I thought Alfie was pretty solid in an otherwise lacklustre game.
From Bay 17 I saw him unable to hold possession and unable to make simple passes for much of the game (although it's possible I occasionally mistook him for Mauragis).

We had a lot of luck yesterday. They held the ball and created pressure far more effectively than we did - at home against the team coming last.

That would be every team compared to us, even the Roar play more attractive football than us. Both Glory and Roar are struggling due to their early season shambles but both have improved in my opinion along with the Scum. Our improvement has been a fraction of theirs.

We grafted out a win and I’ll take it as there will probably not be many more in the last rounds. At least we aren’t in spoon contention however not automatically qualifying for the Aus Cup will be a disaster as we are generally pretty poor in pre season.

I only saw bits on tv. He looked no better or worse than most out there. He rose to the same level of mediocrity as everyone else.

We haven't kept possession well at all this season. Every team does it better than we do.

I think it could be a bit of a blessing if we are organised. It means we need to get our business done early though to have players in and training prior to the game.
