ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Aston Villa had a 2-0 win over 6th placed Sheffield Wednesday overnight. This wass their 5th win out of their last 6... and I think they have only conceded 1 goal during that time (??? I could be wrong about that). Anyway, it's no coincidence that this run has coincided with Jedi's return from injury. He adds some much needed steel to their defense.

Interestingly, Jedi was moved back to CB last night when on of the starters got injured. From all reports, he had a beast of a game back their, with a few observers starting to call for the switch to be permanent for next season.

Jedi's time at Villa is eerily like his time at Palace. When he first joined both clubs, supporters were calling for his axing, but once he proved he could dominate in the air and break up oncoming attacks, the fans soon warmed to him. So much so, he was made captain at Palace, and has been called indispensable at Villa. He also led Palace to the EPL from 6th position in the Championship. Villa are 14 points from 6th place, and the chance for promotion, with about 10(??) games to go. A tall ask, but could history repeat itself?... I doubt it

Villa have no chance of even making the playoffs from there. Bruce will take them up but it wont be this year.

Poorly run club who will need a few seasons to get over their EPL hangover.

This is pretty common with teams that implode and go down - Newcastle being a rare exception
