A lot of Celtic fans were worried about his fitness too, but he strung together a bunch of 80-90min performances before injuries. It became much less of an issue as he got into a groove. This will set him back, but another full pre/season (fingers crossed) on the back of his current one will see him step up to a whole new level imho.

10+ goals in a season from someone not your striker (some top goals at that) will always have options but needs to put a full season together to progress higher and he was doing that until now.

Let's hope the op goes well

Agree. I think a big part of Tom's 90 minutes was his mentality as opppsed to it all being physical - for mine he looked like a futsal player until this last year odd.

Once he stepped up the gear mentally, the body started to respond, recurring injury is a real blow, but he's done major recovery before now twice, so I dont think this will have smoked all his dreams just yet, as like BA said, he's done enough that he will still have solid options and be well considered once he recovers.

Celtic head of performance Glen Driscoll believes Tom Rogic’s mid-season injury could turn out to be a blessing in disguise for the Scottish giants going forward.

The Australian midfielder has been out of action with an ankle injury since December and Driscoll has revealed that it could take another couple of months for him to return to football.

However, the Celtic head of performance believes it could turn out to be a positive for the club as Rogic is sort of enjoying a break in the middle of the season, which could turn out to be crucial going forward.

With Rogic expected to join the Australian squad for the Confederation’s Cup in the summer, Driscoll believes the current break will help him to remain fresh for Celtic next season.

The Celtic head of performance told Celtic TV: “Tom Rogic has an ankle injury and we’re trying to put a positive stance on that in the sense that if anything he can have an off-season now.

“He goes into the Confederations Cup in the summer and then we need him straight back for the qualifiers.

“If he’s well rested now then he can come straight back into those very important games and that’s going to be a positive for him.

“But he will be back within eight weeks, we are hoping.”

Rogic made 27 appearances for Celtic before suffering the injury in December, but could return for the final few games of the season before flying out for the Confederation’s Cup in the summer.

Just 'cos you're doing such a good job and I want to help ;)
Counterintuitively, it's either "AGF", "AGF Aarhus" or even "Aarhus Gymnastikforening" (Or any other variant where AA is replaced by Å) - never Aarhus GF though ;)
Ikonomidis scored a nice enough goal in that game by the way - not that he's one of ours but still :)

Cheers for the help Nebakke! It's great to have someone who knows the league as I don't know it too well.
